Vibhanshu Dwivedi 5 years, 11 months ago

Friction force is a force that slow down things or prevent from moving. This force acts between two objects.Friction force acts more in rough surface and less in smooth surface.

Vinit Kumar Dubey 5 years, 11 months ago

All the liquids exert pressure on the base and the walls of their containers. The pressure exerted by a liquid increases with increasing depth inside the liquid.

If we take a transparent glass tube or a plastic pipe of length about 15 cm and its diameter should be 5-7.5 cm. Also take a rubber balloon and stretch it tightly over one end of the pipe. Hold the pipe at the middle, keeping it in vertical position, pour some into it. We find that the rubber balloon stretches and bulges out which demonstrates that the water poured in the pipe exerts a pressure on the bottom of its container. Now, if we pour some more water in the plastic pipe that its water column increases, the bulge of the rubber balloon also increases, showing that the pressure of water on the bottom of its container has increased.

This shows that:

  1. A liquid exerts pressure on the bottom of its container.
  2. The pressure exerted by a liquid depends on the height of the liquid column.

It helps in manufacturing of lipids and fat molecules. Endoplasmic reticulum synthesizes lipids (smooth endoplasmic reticulum) and proteins (rough endoplasmic reticulum) which are responsible for formation of membrane. Thus, they help in membrane biogenesis.
