Since, true weight = apparent weight + upthrust. The cotton bag is heavier than the iron bar. This is due to the reason, that the bag of cotton which has more volume (as it has less density) than the iron bar (which has more density), experiences more upthrust due to air.

1) Jan Evangelista Purkinje: He is known for its contribution to the discovery of large nerve cells with many branches.
He also discovered the fibrous tissues which hold the pacemaker stimulus and it is known as Purkinje fibers.
2) Robert Brown: He is known for its contribution to the discovery of cell nucleus and the Brownian motion.
He is best known for his Brownian movement in which the microscopic view shows the random movement of the particles in the surrounding colloidal environment. He further discovered the cell nucleus in 1831 while observing the plant tissues.

The vibrating object produces a series of compressions and rarefactions, one after the other in the medium. These pulses travel one behind the other as the sound waves move forward. When this sound wave reaches our ear, it forces the tympanic membrane to vibrate and thus causes the sensation of hearing.
