Similarities-
1. A double membrane surrounding the organelles.
2.Both organelles have chemical cycles in which the initial acceptor is regenerated at the end of the cycle. In mitochondria, the Krebs cycle occurs after which oxaloacetate is regenerated at the end of the reaction. In chloroplasts, the Calvin cycle occurs in which ribulose bisphosphate is regenerated at the end of the reaction.
dissimilarities-
1. Mitochondria are involved in cellular respiration whereas plastids (chloroplasts) are involved in photosynthesis. Thus, the overall chemical reactions for the processes occurring in them are different and reversed.
2. Mitochondria are found in all animal and plant cells. Chloroplasts, however, are found in only specific types of plant cells, such as the palisade mesophyll and spongy mesophyll cells of leaves.

Homogeneous mixture |
Heterogeneous mixture |
It has a uniform composition | It has a non-uniform composition |
It has only one phase | There are two or more phases |
It can’t be separated out physically | It can be separated out physically |
‘homo’ means the same | ‘hetero’ means different |
Example: a mixture of alcohol and water | Example: a mixture of sodium chloride and sand |

IUPAC nomenclature of organic compounds refers to the systematic approach taken for the nomenclature of organic compounds as per the recommendation of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (often abbreviated to IUPAC).
The necessity for such a systematic approach arose due to the sheer quantity of new discoveries of organic compounds which made the trivial nomenclature of organic compounds highly inconvenient.

In transverse wave, particles oscillate in up and down directions; relative their normal position of rest. Particles of medium create elevation above the normal position or line of zero to the surface of medium and depression below the normal position in the course of oscillation. The elevation is called crest and the depression is called trough.

The commercial unit of electric energy is kilowatt hour (kW h), commonly known as ‘unit’. 1 kW h = 1000 watt × 3600 second = 3.6 × 106 watt second = 3.6 × 106 joule (J).
The kilowatt-hour (symbolized kWh) is a unit of energy equivalent to one kilowatt (1 kW) of power expended for one hour (1 h) of time.

Kinetic energy - The energy possessed by virtue of its motion is said to be kinetic energy.
K E = 1/2mv2
Derivation : We know that,
W = f x s
but f = ma
W = mas ….. (1)
By 3rd eqn of motion,
v2 = u2 + 2as
at rest, u=0
v2 = 2as
as = 1/2 v2
Substituting in eqn 1, we get,
W = 1/2 mv2
Since work done is stored in kinetic energy.
so, K.E. = 1/2 mv2

When an object is immersed in a liquid it experiences an upward force known as Buoyant Force. This phenomenon of experiencing an upward force is known as Buoyancy.
It is as an upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an object immersed in a fluid. As we know, the pressure in a fluid column increases with depth. Thus, the pressure at the bottom of an object submerged in the fluid is greater than that at the top. The difference in this pressure results in a net upward force on the object which we define as buoyancy.
