Not every organism has DNA as their hereditary material, some have RNA. However, DNA is the predominant one. In the majority of higher level organisms, RNA plays the role of a messenger. Though both are nucleic acids, this difference in functions persist, why? Scientist elucidates that, this is due to the difference between the chemical structure of DNA and RNA. For a molecule to be considered as genetic material, it must accomplish certain properties. They are as follows:

  • Replication- it should be able to produce its copies.
  • It should have chemical and structural stability.
  • Mutation- it should offer a chance for evolution.
  • It should possess hereditary unit which expresses in the form of ”Mendelian Characters’’.

If a particle is moving with a uniform velocity .Then it's Acceleration is zero.Acceleration is defined as the rate of change in velocity .If the velocity is uniform, this implies that it is not changing.

Yes

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 5 months ago

Yes because then if it doesn't move in a straight line then it's speed would not be uniform.

Uniform speed means the object covers equal DISTANCE in an equal time intervals.
It's not necessary that the object must travel in straight travel.
 For example:
Let us consider an object moving in a uniform circular path. The object has uniform speed but at every point of journey it's direction changes which changes it's velocity and object motion will be accelerated.

The magnitude of the displacement is always less than or equal to the distance traveled. If two displacements in the same direction are added, then the magnitude of their sum will be equal to the distance traveled.

  • 1 answers

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 5 months ago

Because displacement is the shortest distance between the initial point and final point

while distance is the total path length which can never be less than displacement

however, the magnitude of displacement and distance traveled by an object can be equal if it is moving in a straight line

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 5 months ago

The Kharif cropping season starts with the onset of monsoon and ends when the rainy season is over. The rabi crops are sown at the end of monsoon and harvested before the advent of the summer season. These crops require good rainfall. The output of these crops depends upon the time and amount of rainwater. Paddy, maize, bajra, jowar are a few Kharif crops grown in India.

When an impurity is added to substance, its Boiling point is elevated. Reason: The elevation[increase] in boiling point increases with the increases in concentration of the solute because on adding the solute, vapor pressure of solution becomes lower than pure solvent. Adding impurities to a solution, in most cases, increases the boiling point of the solution. This occurs because the presence of impurities decreases the number of water molecules available to become vaporized during boiling.

No Because human hearing range is about to 20 to 20000 Hz (hertz) So, we can't be hear above the 20000 Hz

Srushti Khadtare 4 years, 5 months ago

The human hearing range depends on both the pitch of the sound -whether it is high or low-and the loudness of the sound . ... While 20 to 20,000 Hz forms the absolute borders of the human hearing range, our hearing good is most sensitive in the 2000-5000Hz frequency range

Yash Thakkar 4 years, 5 months ago

Kelvin is the SI unit of temperature If we have to convert Celsius in Kelvin just add 273 in Celsius For ex: convert 15 C in K 15 + 273=288K

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 5 months ago

The SI unit of temperature as per the International System of Units is Kelvin which is represented by the symbol K. The Kelvin scale is widely accepted or used in the field of science and engineering. However, in most parts of the world, Celsius or Fahrenheit scale is used for measuring temperature.

The nucleus is a large, centrally located spherical cellular component. It is bounded by two nuclear membranes, both forming a nuclear envelope. The nuclear envelope separates the nucleus from the cytoplasm. Within nucleoplasm two types of nuclear structures are embedded – the nucleolus and chromatin material. The nucleolus may be one or more in number and is not bounded by any membrane. It is rich in protein and RNA molecules and acts as the site for ribosome formation.

Biodiversity describes the richness and variety of life on earth. It is the most complex and important feature of our planet. Without biodiversity, life would not sustain.

The term biodiversity was coined in 1985. It is important in natural as well as artificial ecosystems. It deals with nature’s variety is biosphere. It refers to variabilities among plants, animals and microorganism species.

Biodiversity includes the number of different organisms and their relative frequencies in an ecosystem. It also reflects the organisation of organisms at different levels.

Biodiversity holds ecological and economic significance. It provides us with nourishment, housing, fuel, clothing and several other resources. It also extracts monetary benefits through tourism. Therefore, it is very important to have a good knowledge of biodiversity for a sustainable livelihood.

Process to seprate solid. from crystral

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 5 months ago

Crystallisation- Crystallization is a process that separates a pure solid in the form of its crystals from a solution. This method is used to purify solid, example the salt we get from sea water can have many impurities in it. To remove these impurities, the process of crystallization is used. Crystallization technique is better than simple evaporation technique as-

• Some solids decompose or some, like sugar, may get charred during heating to dryness.
• Some impurities may remain dissolved in the solution even after filtration. On evaporation these contaminate the solid.

Rational numbers: The rational numbers are numbers which can be expressed as a fraction and also as positive numbers, negative numbers and zero. It can be written as p/q, where q is not equal to zero.

Rational word is derived from the word ‘ratio’, which actually means a comparison of two or more values or integer numbers and is known as a fraction. In simple words, it is the ratio of two integers.

Example: 3/2 is a rational number. It means integer 3 is divided by another integer 2.

Irrational numbers: The numbers which are not a rational number are called irrational numbers. Now, let us elaborate, irrational numbers could be written in decimals but not in fractions which means it cannot be written as the ratio of two integers.

Irrational numbers have endless non-repeating digits after the decimal point. Below is the example of the irrational number:

Example: √8=2.828…
