Cropping pattern refers to the proportion of land under cultivation of different crops at different points of time. This indicates the time and arrangement of crops in a particular land area. Any change in the cropping pattern would cause:
-
change in the proportion of land under different crops
-
change in space sequence and time of crops
In India, the cropping pattern is determined by rainfall, temperature, climate, technology and soil type.

Viruses are non-cellular, microscopic infectious agents that can only replicate inside a host cell. From a biological perspective, viruses cannot be classified either a living organism or non-living. This is due to the fact that they possess certain defining characteristic features of living organisms and non-living entities.

Salt can be recovered from its solution by crystallization.
Crystallization is the process of formation of solid crystals precipitation from a solution. It is Solid- liquid separation.
By using ' crystallization technique, ' salt can be recollected from its solution. This technique is better than ' evaporation ' because it removes dissolved impurities which are present in the solution.
But in the evaporation process we cannot remove the dissolved impurities present in the solution.

Lymph is a colorless fluid collected from tissues in most parts of the body and returned to the blood via the lymphatic system. It is about 95% water. Its composition is similar to plasma of blood, but contains less protein. Lymph mainly contains white blood cells (mainly lymphocytes).
Functions of lymph:
- It carries digested and absorbed fat from intestine and drains excess fluid from extracellular space back into blood.
- It supplies mature lymphocytes to the blood.
- It acts to remove bacteria and other particles.
- It also maintains fluid balance.

-The movement of water across a semi-permeable membrane is affected by the amount of substance dissolved in it. As water moves from higher concentration to lower concentration.
-Membranes are made of organic molecules like proteins and lipids. The ratio of protein and lipids vary considerably in different cell types. In human beings, the membrane of the erythrocyte has approximately 52 per cent protein and 40 per cent lipids.
-Molecules soluble in organic solvents can easily pass through the membrane as the membrane is lipophilic.
-Cell walls of fungi contain chitin sugar.
So, the correct answer is 'Plasma membrane contain chitin sugar in plants'.

Application: formation of NaCl from sea water.
