A species of bacteria called Rhizobium, help in nitrogen fixation. These bacteria live in the roots of leguminous plants (e.g., pea and beans plants) and using certain types of enzymes, they help in fixing nitrogen in the soil. During this biological process, they convert the non-absorbable nitrogen form into a usable form. This form of the nitrogen gets dissolved in the soil, and plants absorb the modified nitrogen from the soil. This is the reason behind farmers implementing crop rotation, where leguminous plants help to replenish nitrogen content in the soil without the necessity of fertilizers.
Nitrogen fixation by bacteria is an example of the symbiotic relationship between Rhizobium and the leguminous plants. While bacteria fix nitrogen in the soil, plants provide them food.

Scalar quantity is defined as the physical quantity with magnitude and no direction.
There are plenty of scalar quantity examples, some of the common examples are:
- Mass
- Speed
- Distance
- Time
- Area
A vector quantity is defined as the physical quantity that has both direction as well as magnitude.
A vector with the value of magnitude equal to one and direction is called unit vector represented by a lowercase alphabet with a “hat” circumflex. That is “û“.
Vector quantity examples are many, some of them are given below:
- Linear momentum
- Acceleration
- Displacement
- Momentum

Density, mass of a unit volume of a material substance. Density is the mass per unit volume of any object. It is calculated by dividing the mass of an object by its volume. The formula for density is d = M/V, where d is density, M is mass, and V is volume. Density is commonly expressed in units of grams per cubic centimetre. ... Density can also be expressed as kilograms per cubic metre (in MKS or SI units).

Hormones are chemicals synthesized and produced by the specialized glands to control and regulate the activity of certain cells and organs. These specialized glands are known as endocrine glands.
Hormones are chemicals that essentially function as messengers of the body. These chemicals are secreted by special glands known as the endocrine glands. These endocrine glands are distributed throughout the body. These messengers control many physiological functions as well as psychological health. They are also quite important in maintaining homeostasis in the body.
