The number of units in one mole of any substance is called Avogadro’s number or Avogadro’s constant. It is equal to 6.022140857×1023. The units may be electrons, ions, atoms, or molecules, depending on the character of the reaction and the nature of the substance.
So, if you wanted to know the number of particles in 3 moles of a substance, the value would be:
= 3 x 6.023 x 1023
= 1.81 x 1024 particles

Structure of cell
Cells are made up of components called cell organelles.
A cell is capable to live and perform all their respective functions due to the presence of cell organelles.
All cells have the same organelles irrespective of their function and organism they are found in i.e. let it be a bone cell or a nerve cell or any other cell, all will have components.
The parts of cell are as follows:
- Cell wall
- Plasma membrane or cell membrane
- Nucleus
- Cytoplasm
- Endoplasmic Reticulum
- Golgi Apparatus
- Lysosomes
- Mitochondria
- Plastids
- Vacuole

Pure substance is one that does not have any other substance or impurity present in it and cannot be separated into other kinds of matter by physical processes. It can be an element or a compound.
- Out of the given nine compounds following are the pure substances
Ice, iron, hydrochloric acid, calcium oxide, mercury are pure substances as they have definite composition. - Milk is a colloid and acts as a heterogeneous mixture hence is not a pure substance.
- Brick and air are made up of more than one substance hence they also don’t fall in the category of pure substances.

Laws of conservation of mass
The law states that mass can neither be created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction i.e. Total masses of reactants is equal to the sum of masses of products and the masses of unreacted reactants. For instance, the reaction of carbon with oxygen to produce carbon-dioxide involves conservation of mass in the following way.
C (12g) + O2 (32g) = CO2 (44g)
Here we used 12 g of carbon and 32 g of oxygen. After reaction the amount of carbon –dioxide produced will be 44g i.e. the sum total of the amount of carbon and oxygen used.

Ultrasounds are high frequency waves, which can travel in defined paths even in the presence of many obstacles.
- Ultrasonic waves are used to capture the images of the heart and its features and problems associated with the heart, if any (for treatment purpose). This is called echocardiography.
- Ultrasound scans/Ultrasonography are very commonly used to get images of internal body organs such as liver, kidney, uterus. It helps the doctor to diagnose and treat problems in the body of the patient. In this method, ultrasound waves are made to travel through the body to the organ under consideration. They get reflected and these are converted to electrical signals which can be monitored on a screen.
- Ultrasonography is used to observe the growth of the fetus inside the uterus. It can also used to monitor the abnormalities.
- It is used to break kidney stones into fine grains which later get flushed out through urine.

Method:
1.Take a thin strip of filter paper.
2.Draw a line on it using a pencil approx. 3 cm above the lower edge.
3.Put a small drop of ink with help of a pen at centre of line and let it dry.
4.Lower the filter paper into a glass jar containing water in such a way that the ink's drop remains just above the water level. Leave it undisturbed.
5.Water rises up in the filter paper. Ink drop splits up into its constituents.
Conclusion:Dye in black ink is a mixture of 2 or 3 colours. The coloured component that is more soluble in water rises faster and in this way the colours get separated.

Clouds form when the invisible water vapor in the air condenses into visible water droplets or ice crystals. For this to happen, the parcel of air must be saturated, i.e. unable to hold all the water it contains in vapor form, so it starts to condense into a liquid or solid form. Water evaporates from water bodies and rises up in the air. ... Cooling causes condensation of water vapour, which leads to the formation of tiny droplets. Tiny droplets grow bigger and heavy by more condensation which ultimately leads to the formation of clouds.

Thomson’s Atomic Model- Postulates
- According to the postulates of Thomson’s atomic model, an atom resembles a sphere of positive charge with electrons (negatively charged particles) present inside the sphere.
- The positive and negative charge is equal in magnitude and therefore an atom has no charge as a whole and is electrically neutral.
- Thomson’s atomic model resembles a spherical plum pudding as well as a watermelon. It resembles a plum pudding because the electrons in the model look like the dry fruits embedded in a sphere of positive charge just like a spherical plum pudding. The model has also been compared to a watermelon because the red edible part of a watermelon was compared to the sphere having a positive charge and the black seeds filling the watermelon looked similar to the electrons inside the sphere.
Limitations of Thomson’s Atomic Model
- Thomson’s atomic model failed to explain how the positive charge holds on the electrons inside the atom. It also failed to explain an atom’s stability.
- The theory did not mention anything about the nucleus of an atom.
- It was unable to explain the scattering experiment of Rutherford.

Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation states that every particle attracts every other particle in the universe with a force that is directly proportional to the product of the masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
The universal gravitation equation thus takes the form

The reason for this is that cold air is denser and has less space between the molecules of gas. When the temperature drops and cold air blankets the ground, any warm air is forced to pass over it. In this way, the cold air can form a kind of cap. Pollutants aren't as free to escape and disperse in the dense colder air.
