simple interest = principal*rate*time/100
interest of one year = 4600 - 4400 = 200
then, principal = 200*100/R*1
PR = 20000
I = PRT/100
for first two year, I = 20000*2/100
I = 400
principal = amount - interest
principal = 4400 - 400 = 4000
R = I*100/PT
R = 400*100/4000*2
R = 5%

Mid point Theorem : The line segment connecting the midpoints of  two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and is congruent to one half of the third side.

 ABC is a triangle P is the midpoint at AB and Q is the midpoint at AC

Given that: AP=PB, AQ=QC.

To prove: PQ || BC and PQ=1/2 BC

Plan: To prove ▲ APQ ≅ ▲ QRC

Proof steps: AQ=QC [midpoint] ∠ APQ = ∠QRC [Corresponding angles for parallel lines cut by an transversal].

∠PBR=∠QRC=∠APQ [Corresponding angles for parallel lines cut by an transversal].

∠RQC=∠PAQ [When 2 pairs of corresponding angles are congruent in a triangle, the third pair is also congruent.]

Therefore , ▲APQ ≅ ▲QRC

so AP=QR=PB and PQ=BR=RC.

Conditions of Parallelism:
Two lines in a plane are said to be parallel if they do not intersect, when extended infinitely in both the direction.
The distance between the two lines is the same throughout.

If two straight lines are cut by a transversal, and if
• the pair of corresponding angles is equal, then the two straight lines are parallel to each other.
• the pair of alternate angles is equal, then the two straight lines are parallel to each other.
• the pair of interior angles on the same side of transversal is supplementary, then the two straight lines are parallel.
