Factor theorem is linking factors and zeros of a polynomial . The factor theorem states that a polynomial has a factor if and only if ( i.e.is a root ). In algebra : if p(x) is a polynomial in x that the remainder on dividing p(x) by x-a is p(a).

First of all solve. Let us take horizontal line xox. Mark as orgin such that represent o. Draw a perpendicular BC to ox. Take or cut off BC = 1 unit.(after writting this draw a figure by drawing a line as much length u want after that draw a 90 degree angle line on it and take one unit from the straight line.and two unit from the vertical line.)Then solve Since; OBC is the right angle triangle. (OB) square +(BC) square = (OC) square (2 unit) square+ (1 unit) square =(OC) sq 4+1 =(OC) square 5 = OC Under root 5 =OC
