Yogita Ingle 5 years, 10 months ago

GIVEN :
x + y = 8
xy = 15.

we know that,

{tex}( x+y )^2 = x^2 + y^2 + 2xy{/tex}
{tex}x^2 + y^2 = ( x + y )^2 - 2xy{/tex}
{tex}= 8^2 - 2×15{/tex}
= 64 - 30
{tex}x^2 + y^2 = 34.{/tex}

Given: In quadrilateral ABCD, AB smallest & CD is longest sides. To Prove: ∠A>∠C & ∠B>∠D Construction: Join AC. Mark the angles as shown in the figure.. Proof: In △ABC , AB is the shortest side. BC > AB ∠2>∠4 …(i) [Angle opposite to longer side is greater] In △ADC , CD is the longest side CD > AD ∠1>∠3 …(ii) [Angle opposite to longer side is greater] Adding (i) and (ii), we have ∠2+∠1>∠4+∠3 ⇒∠A>∠C Similarly, by joining BD, we can prove that ∠B>∠D

  volume of cylindrical vessel = pi . r*2h
 r   =  0.07 m

 surface area of cylindrical vessel open at the top = curved surface area of cylinder + area of base
 = 2pi . r . h + pi . r2
 = pi . r ( 2h + r )
 = 22/7x0.07 ( 2x1 + 0.07 )
surface area     = 0.4554 m=4554cm2

  cost of 1 cm2 of metal sheet     = Rs. 25/100
 cost of 4554 cm2 of metal sheet
