For pieces of triangle,

a = 20 cm , b = 50 cm , c = 50 cm

.°. s = a + b + c / 2

= 20 + 50 + 50 / 2

= 120 / 2

= 60 cm

.°. a triangles area = √ s ( s - a ) ( s - b ) ( s - c )

= √ 60 ( 60 - 20 ) ( 60 - 50 ) ( 60 - 50 )

= √ 60 ( 40 ) ( 10 ) ( 10 )

= 200√6 cm²

.°. one colour of five triangles area ,

= 5 ( 200√6 ) cm²

= 1000√6 cm²

so, there are 1000√6 cm² cloth of each colour is required for the umbrella.

1/11=0.090909........ 3/13=0.230769230769.......... 2/11=0.181818..... These are non-tetminating and non-repeating decimal expansions

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 11 months ago

Here are the three numbers whose decimal expansion are non terminating and non recurring:-
1)√2 = 1.4142.........
2) √3 =1.73205......
3) √5 =2.236......
these values are non terminating and non recurring.
thus, we say them as irrational numbers.

From given, we have, The side of a cubical watermelon is equal to the diameter of a spherical watermelon. The volume of a cube = a³ The volume of a sphere = 4/3 πr² Let us consider the radius of the sphere is "x" Then, we get The volume of a cube = (2x)³ = 8x³ The volume of a sphere = 4/3 πx² let us take, x = 2 cm Then, we have, The volume of a cube = 8x³ = 8×2³ = 64 The volume of a sphere = 4/3 πx² = 4/3 × 3.14 × 2² = 16.74 Thus the cubical watermelon would occupy more space than the other

0.4x + 0.3y=1.7...(1)
0.7x - 0.2y= 0.8...(2)
multiplying eq 1 by 2 & eq 2 by 3, we get
0.8x + 0.6y = 3.4..(3)
2.1x - 0.6y = 2.4..(4) now adding eq 3&4
2.9x= 5.8
x=5.8/2.9
x=2
putting the value of x in eq (1)
0.4×2 + 0.3y=1.7
0.3y= 1.7-0.8
y=0.9/0.3
y=3
Answer x=2 y=3

The pointy where graph cut x-axis and y-axis are x-intercept and y-intercept.

The x-intercept is when y=0,

2x+3(0)=12

2x=12

{tex}x=\frac{12}{2}{/tex}

x=6

So, Graph cut x-axis at (6,0).

The y-intercept is when x=0,

2(0)+3y=12

3y=12

{tex}y=\frac{12}{3}{/tex}

y=4
So, Graph cut y-axis at (0,4).

Refer the attached figure for graph.

No every integer is not a whole number because negative numbers are not whole numbers

Meghna Thapar 4 years, 11 months ago

Fractions and decimals are not integers. All whole numbers are integers (and all natural numbers are integers), but not all integers are whole numbers or natural numbers. For example, -5 is an integer but not a whole number or a natural number.

i)   p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

On putting x=0 ,

p(0) = 5(0) - 4(0)² + 3

= 0 - 0 +3=3
= 3

ii) (x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

On putting x= -1,

p(-1) = 5(-1) - 4(-1)²+ 3

= -5 - 4(1) + 3

= -5-4+3= -9+3= -6

= -6
iii) p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

On putting x=2

p(2) = 5(2) - 4(2)² + 3

= 10 – 16 + 3 = -6+3

= -3
