Answer From the figure: x + 50o = 180o (Linear pair) x = 180o - 50o x = 130o And, y = 130o (Vertically opposite angles) Now, x = y = 130o (Alternate interior angles) Hence, The theorem says that when the lines are parallel, that the alternate interior angles are equal. And thus the lines must be parallel. AB || CD

Answer r/s = 1/2π Explanation When square sheet of paper is converted into a cylinder by rolling, circumference of base is equal to side od square. Let s be side of square and r be radius of base of cylinder. s = 2πr r/s = 1/2π Hence, ratio of the base radius of cylinder to the side of square is 1:2π.

I know it is a question of circles where you have been given length of chord 24 cm and radius 13 cm so you have to find distance between the chord and centre so the answer is 5 because it is the triplet

Sarita Panda 3 years, 8 months ago

It can be various number. One type of Pythagorean triplet is (13,12,5)where 13 is the hypothenues.

When two lines intersect each other, then the opposite angles, formed due to intersection are called vertical angles or vertically opposite angles. A pair of vertically opposite angles are always equal to each other. Also, a vertical angle and its adjacent angle are supplementary angles, i.e., they add up to 180 degrees. For example, if two lines intersect and make an angle, say X=45°, then its opposite angle is also equal to 45°. And the angle adjacent to angle X will be equal to 180 – 45 = 135°.

Two angles are Adjacent when they have a common side and a common vertex (corner point) and don't overlap.

Let r cm be the radius of the base and h cm be the height of the cylinder, Then, total surface area of cylinder = 2πr (r + h) Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh  We have,  Curved surface area = 1/3(Total surface area) = 1/3 x 462 cm2 = 154 cm2  ⇒  2πrh = 154  Also, 2πrh + 2πr2 = 462    ⇒ 154 + 2πr2 = 462 ⇒  2πr2 = 462 - 154 = 308 cm2 2 x 22/7 x r2 = 308 ⇒  r2 = 308 x 7/2 x 22 = 72  ⇒  r = 7 cm Again 2πrh = 154    ⇒ 2 x 22/7 x 7 x h = 154  ⇒ h = 154/2 x 22 = 7/2 cm  Volume of the cylinder =  πr2h = 22/7 x 7 x 7 x 7/2 = 539 cm3

Palak Gupta 3 years, 8 months ago

Given, total surface area of cylinder = 462 square cm. Also, CSA of cylinder = 3 TSA of ccylinder ⇒TSA=2πrh+2πr2 ⇒TSA=CSA+2πr 2 ⇒TSA= 3TSA +2πr 2 ⇒ 32TSA =2πr 2 ⇒ 3TSA =πr2 ⇒ 3462 = 722 ×r 2 ⇒r=7cm Now, CSA of cylinder = 3 TSA of ccylinde = 3462 =154cm 2 ⇒2πrh=154 ⇒2× 7 22 ×7×h=154 ⇒h= 27cm Therefore, volume of the cylinder =πr 2 h= 722 ×7 2 × 27 =539cm 3 Hence, volume of the solid cylinder is 539cm 3 .
