The remainder when p(x) is divided by (x−a) is p(a)

Geven that,

p(x) = x− 3x+ 2x + 5

Divisor = (x − 1)

So, Remainder = p(1)

= (1)4 − 3(1)+ 2(1) + 5

= 1 − 3 + 2 + 5

= 5

x³ - 2x² - x + 2

=> x²(x - 2) - 1(x - 2)

=> (x - 2)(x² - 1)

=> (x - 2){(x)² - (1)²}

=> (x - 2)(x - 1)(x + 1)

Its lines are formed by two axes that are drawn perpendicular to each other. The horizontal axis is called the x-axis, and the vertical axis is called the y-axis. The two intersecting axes form four quadrants, numbered I through IV. The point of intersection (0, 0) is called the origin.
