The poet does not seem to be very happy with his choice. Just now, it is very difficult to pass the judgement on the spur of the moment. After many years, perhaps he will be telling with a sigh that his choice was not very rewarding. There were two roads that separated in two different directions. And he chose the road which had been less travelled by. The choice was his own. And this choice has made all the difference in his life.

In the region around the North Pole (Northland), the duration of the day is very less because its position is such that the Sun’s rays reach for a very less time. When this area is experiencing winter season, the duration of night is very long, and the day time hours are very less. In line 4, ‘they’ refers to the people who live in this region. The poet says that the duration of the night time is so long that the people cannot sleep them through. If they go to bed, take a few hours of sleep and then, they wake up, it is still night time. He wants to emphasize on the fact that the duration of the night is very long.

The Road Not Taken Summary
The poet says that once, he was walking down the road and reached a fork. He could walk over one of the paths only. He took time to choose the right path. He inspected them to decide which was a better option and then chose the one which seemed less walked over. He kept the other one for some other day although he knew that he would never get the chance to walk over it. He would go further on the chosen path and not get a chance to go back on it. As he walked on the chosen path, he realized that both the paths were similar. He felt that his future depended on the choice that he made.

The story is about a child and his parents who are going to a fair. On their way to the fair, the child sees a toy shop and asks his parents to buy him a toy, but, his father stared at him and he understood the father's silent "No". Then to divert his mind, his mother called him up to the mustard field. The Child saw various things on his way to the fair such as insects, doves, butterflies and so on. In the fair also, he sees various things such as sweets and balloons, but he didn't request his parents because he knew what would be the reply. So, he mumered and moved on. On reaching the roundabout, he couldn't resist himself and made a bold request saying that he wants to go on the roundabout and when he turned back for the reply, his mother and father were not there!!! He was confused and ran here and there. He ran to the shrine and fell down. It was then that the kind man came to help him. He offered him everything that he wanted earlier but the child refused and cried for his parents. This shows that the child's parent's were the center an the meaning of his life and all the luxuries in the world were meaningless to him without his parents.
The writer has kept the story ending open, and we may assume that the child met his parents later, as he was not the only one who was finding his parents, but, his parents were also finding him.

Kezia compared her father with Mr. MacDonald , her next door neighbour . He was a loving , gentle , and forgiving father . He was always smiling , laughing and playing with his children. He treated his children in a very friendly manner.
Mr. MacDonald was just the opposite with Kezias father. Unlike her father , he never punished his children. According to Kezias assumption her father was a very harsh and strict disciplinarian.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, A
And sorry I could not travel both B
And be one traveler, long I stood A
And looked down one as far as I could A
To where it bent in the undergrowth; B
Thus the rhyme scheme of the stanza is described as "ABAAB".
All four stanzas of the poem use the same rhyme scheme, albeit with different rhyme words. The rhyme words are all the final words of the lines, and are thus known as "end rhymes".
The rhyme scheme in Frost's poem is ABAAB; CDCCD; EFEEF; GHGGH. Frost uses a very particular rhyme scheme that is quite original. He utilizes full rhyme throughout the poem with the exception of lines 17 and 20, where he uses half rhyme.

The story begins with two children named, Margie and Tommy. It takes place in the world of the future where computers dominate everything. Moreover, it also shows how the concept of schools and classrooms has transformed completely.
It’s the year 2157, and Margie is writing in her diary about how Tommy found a book. This book was of Tommy’s grandfather when he was a little kid. Margie learns about how they use to print all the stories on paper back then.
Further, they read the book themselves and find the feeling of turning pages over rather funny. It was funny because they were not in the habit of reading still words, only ones in motion that too on a screen. We learn that in the future, there are no books, only telebooks. They store them in TV sets and computers.
After that, it takes an interesting turn when they discuss school. Margie learns that schools were very different back then. They had actual persons who were teachers. It is surprising because she has only robots which teach her.

The Adventures of Toto by Ruskin Bond is an amusing story highlighting the antics of a mischievous monkey.
The narrator’s grandfather bought Toto, a little red monkey from a tonga driver to add to his collection of animals in his private zoo.
Toto was an attractive monkey with sparkling eyes. He would take special delight in scaring elderly Anglo-Indian ladies. Since grandmother was always averse to grandfather’s collection of animals, he decided to keep the news about Toto hidden from her until she was in better mood.
Toto was temporarily kept in a closet that opened into the narrator’s bedroom. After a few hours of keeping Toto in the closet, when the narrator and the grandfather came to see Toto, they were in for a shock. Toto had torn the wallpaper; the peg with which Toto had been bound, had been wrenched off the wall. The narrator’s school blazer had been torn into pieces.
The grandfather was quite happy at the monkey’s adventures. After this it was decided that Toto would be transferred to the cage where other animals such as a tortoise, a pair of rabbits, a tame squirrel and, narrator’s pet goat lived amiably. But Toto would create trouble for all of them.
The grandfather had to go to Saharanpur to collect his pension. He decided to take Toto along in a big canvas bag. Since there was no opening in the bag to allow his hands or face to come out, he would often jump inside the bag, making the bag look like as if there was a spirit in it.
As soon as the train reached Saharanpur, Toto scared the ticket-collector by popping his head out of the bag and grinning at him. The ticket-collector was annoyed at the discovery and asserted that the grandfather would have to pay for Toto’s fare. The ticket-collector assumed Toto to be a dog and would not listen to the grandfather’s argument that it was not a dog.
Once the grandmother accepted Toto, he was shifted to stable where, Nana, the family donkey lived. Toto could not get along with Nana as well.
Toto loved to take bath in hot water in winter in the same manner as the narrator would do. He would first check the hotness of water before jumping into the hot water bowl.
