Telephone is a necessary evil. It is good and helpful in a number of ways. We can talk to our friends and relatives on the phone. We can send them messages and know about their well-being. But it is more a nuisance than a facility. The day the telephone is installed in the house, your privacy is gone. Your neighbours and friends come to your house on odd hours to use your phone. Sometimes you have to call them to hear a call from their friend or relative. Off times you have to entertain them in your drawing room. Again you are caught unawares when the telephone bell rings at odd times. When you are in the bathroom, you have to run out with a towel around you. You think that it might be a call from some important person. Sometimes when you are in sleep at night you at once wake up thinking perhaps it might be an important call, you feel dismayed to find that it is a wrong number. Besides these inconveniences, your telephone bill is an extra burden on you; you have to pay for the calls of your friends and relatives also. The hefty bill disturbs your peace of mind.

Rain bears a subtle link with all aspects of life. It serves as a powerful narrative tool in the poet’s life. It has added a layer of depth and fullness to the situation where the poet is concerned. It delivers an effective voice which communicates the apt moment of time and space as well as the emotions of the protagonist in a more poignant manner than mere words would do.

- Title: Junk food- a slow poison
- People today hardly have the time to sit and eat a proper meal, as a result they often grab a packaged snack to control their untimely hunger pangs
- Children enjoy eating junk food items more than the traditional food items which are healthy as well as hygienic
- The advertisements showcasing these junk food items in such tempting manner make the situations worse
- Junk food is not good for our physical as well as mental health, it doesn't only play havoc with our digestive system but it affects our immunity and emotional well being as well
- Obesity, heart diseases, lethargy are a few of the many problems caused due to the consumption of junk food
- It is a matter of grave concern and we must encourage our children to eat more of home cooked food than eating fast food items

Dear Diary:
I am very excited today. Our class teacher announced that the class will have picnic on Saturday. We will go to Wonderland, the famous amusement park in Jalandhar. It will be real fun visiting the park with class fellows. The ride from school to the park will be fully electric. The students will sing songs and dance in the moving bus. We shall enjoy the rides. The park will echo with our excited cries. A delicious lunch will be provided to the students by the park banquet hall. I am really looking forward to the picnic.

Speech on World Heritage Day: World Heritage Day is observed and celebrated. every year on April 18. The organization that is International Council on Monuments and Sites in the particular year 1982 officially declared April 18 as the World Heritage Day.
The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) association was set up on the standards set out in the Venice Charter, otherwise called the 1964 International Charter on the Conservation and Restoration of Monuments and Sites.
It is important to value our Heritage as by valuing our Heritage we value our culture, our past as well as our present and our native place and everything connected to it.The Heritages preserves the history, the past. It preserves the lives and decades that are bygone and are only stories and memories now. Yet through the Heritages, they go on living, through the Heritages, the past becomes immortal thus we too must make consistent effort to understand and value or Heritage and persist the immortality of the past.

Prashant went to his friend’s house in Ersama.
The evening turned into a superstorm accompanied by heavy and continuous rain. Many trees were uprooted and water entered his friend’s house.
Superstorm destroyed everything. Water spread everywhere. Several houses were broken. Dead animals, as well as humans, were floating everywhere. His friend’s family had taken shelter on the roof and the fallen coconut trees kept them alive for several days.
Prashant was worried about his parents. He took a strong stick and started his journey to his village. • He waded through the water and had to push away many dead bodies on way. He was worried about his parents. Perhaps they were not alive.
He reached his village, Kalikuda. He found only roofs in the village. He went to the Red Cross shed and met his family there.
He decided to help the victims and work for improvement. He organised a group of youths for this, put pressure on the merchants to give rice. They made fire and cooked food for the victims.
Then, they cleaned the village and removed dead bodies floating on water.
They made helicopters drop the packets of food. They got food for the hungry.
Prashant was the leader of the youths. He made shelters for the orphans and persuaded the women to look after them.
He arranged work for women and children. He worked for the rehabilitation of the orphans and the windows.
Prashant worked for the welfare of cyclone victims. He became the leader of his village.
