The pressure exerted by air around us is known as atmospheric pressure.
Take a good quality rubber sucker. It looks like a small rubber cup. Press it hard on a smooth plane surface. When we press the sucker, most of the air between its cup and the surface escapes out. The sucker sticks to the surface because the pressure of atmosphere acts on it. To pull the sucker off the surface, the applied force should be large enough to overcome the atmospheric pressure. This activity shows the magnitude of atmospheric pressure.

Living things and their environment together form an ecosystem. The living or biotic components of an ecosystem are producers, consumers and decomposers.
- Producers: All producers are autotrophs because they make food for all non-green living organisms on earth. Example – green plants.
- Consumers: Animals and non-green plants obtain nutrients from the green plants and are called consumers. Consumers are heterotrophs. They are divided into three types – herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.
- Herbivores eat plants and plant products. Example – cow, goat, camel, elephant, etc.
- Carnivores are flesh-eating animals. They prey upon herbivores. Examples – tiger, lion, fox, hawk, etc.
- Omnivores eat both plants and animals. Examples – man, crow, bear, etc.
- Decomposers: They decompose and destroy the dead remains of plants and animals and return nutrients to the soil and help in the formation of humus. Examples – fungi and bacteria.

The poet's dilemma was that he did not know which road he had to choose when the road split into two.
He looked down to one road and realised that, that road was taken by most of the people.
The other road was covered in grass and proves that very less people have taken that road.
So the poet chose the road not taken by most people and decided that he would take the other road later some day, which he later realised that he can't.

The conversion of ammonium to nitrate nitrogen is called Nitrification.
Nitrification is a two-step process. Bacteria known as Nitrosomonas convert ammonia and ammonium to nitrite. Next, bacteria called Nitrobacter finish the conversion of nitrite to nitrate.
