The Indian Constitution provides for the independence of the judiciary. It means that other branches of the State such as the legislature and the executive cannot interfere in the work of the judiciary. The courts are not under the government and do not act on their behalf. The courts ensure that there is no misuse of power of the legislature and the executive. Anyone can approach the courts if they find that their Fundamental Rights have been violated. Thus, the courts are not influenced by anyone, not even by the rich and powerful people.

'Battle of Buxar' was fought on '23 October 1764' between 'British East India Company' and various Mughal emperors. The British army was led by Hectro Munro and the Mughal army was led by Nawab of Awadh, Qasim Khan and Mughal emperor, "Shah Alam".
The battle was fought in Buxar, which is a territory of Bengal. It is situated on the banks of Ganga River. It was a decisive land for the Britishers. Mughal forces outnumbered the British forces.
Mughal army has over 40000 men while Britishers were only 10000. Due to the lack of coordination between the Mughal emperors they lost the battle severely even after having such a huge army.

The main causes of the War were political, social, economical, military and religious. It was an extreme effort made by Indians, but they failed due to certain reasons including mutual jealousies, disunity, and lack of central leadership etc. The Indian Rebellion of 1857 had diverse political, economic, military, religious and social causes. The spark that led to a mutiny in several sepoy companies was the issue of new gunpowder cartridges for the Enfield rifle in February, 1857. A rumour was spread that the cartridges were made from cow and pig fat
