Rate of flow of water = 60 litres/minute

Volume of the tank = 108 m3

1 m3 = 1000 litres

108 m3= 108000 litres

Time taken to fill the complete tank = 108000/60 = 1800 minutes = 1800/60 hours = 30 hours

The tank will be filled completely in 30 hours.

et height =x
Given area=256 cm square
A.t.q.
Length=5(height)
L=5x
Breadth=3(height)
B=3x

Curved surface area of cuboid
= 2(l+b)h
Given area=256 cm square
2(5x+3x)×x=256
2(8x)×x=256
16x^2=256
16x^2-256=0
Taking 8 common
8(2x^2-32)=0
2x^2-32=0
By factorization
2x^2+0x-32=0
2x^2+8x-8x-32=0
Taking common
2x(x+4)-8(x+4)=0
(x+4)(2x-8)=0
x+4=0,,,,,2x-8=0
x=-4,,,,,x=4
Sides can't be -ve so
x=4
Height=4cm
Length =5x
Length=5×4=20
Breadth=3x
Breadth=3×4=12
L=20
B=12
H=4

Total surface are of a box = 2( lb + bh + hl )

given height and breadth = 6 CM and 4 CM respectively

now according to question

308 = 2 ( 4L + 6*4 + 6L)

308/2 = 10L + 24

154 -24 = 10L

130 = 10L

L = 130/10

length = 13 CM

Sound can be characterized by the loudness, pitch and quality.

Loudness:

  • Based on the amplitude of a sound wave, we can determine the loudness of the sound. When the amplitude is high, it will produce a sound that is loud and when the amplitude is low, it will produce a sound that is soft.
  • Loudness is proportional to the square of the amplitude. This means that if the amplitude is doubled, the loudness increases four times.

Pitch:

  • Pitch denotes the shrillness or flatness of a sound. Sound can be high or low.
  • A woman’s voice generally has a high pitch than a man’s voice. This is because the frequency of a woman’s voice is higher.

Quality (Timbre):

The quality of a sound is that property by virtue of which two sounds of the same pitch and loudness produced by the two different musical instrument or people can be distinguished.

Intensity of sound depends on the following factors:

(i) It is directly proportional to the square of the amplitude of vibrations.

(ii) It is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the source and the observer.

(iii) It is directly proportional to the density of the medium.

(iv) It is directly proportional to the surface area of the vibrating body.

(v) It is directly proportional to the square of the frequency of the source.

(vi) It is directly proportional to the motion of the medium.

During British rule, old trading centres and ports could not survive when the flow of trade moved to new centres like Calcutta, Bombay and Madras. This decline and decay of the cities is called de-urbanization. For example; in the late eighteenth century, many towns manufacturing specialized goods declined due to a drop in the demand for what they produced. Also, earlier centres of regional power collapsed when local rulers were defeated by the British and new centres of administration emerged. Cities such as Machlipatnam, Surat and Seringapatam were deurbanised during the nineteenth century.

Mechanical advantage is a type of measure which calculates the amplified force gained by the mechanical system. It provides the ratio between the force applied to the load and the force needed to overcome the given force. Since the two quantities are a force, it is a unitless parameter.

In other words, the mechanical advantage is the force generated by a machine to the force applied to it which is applied in assessing the performance of the machine. The mechanical advantage formula is given by

MA = FB /FA

Wherein,

MA is the mechanical advantage,

FB = force of the object and

FA = effort to overcome the force of the object.
