The Indian Constitution was adopted on 26 January 1950.

Voting Rights: Universal adult franchise was adopted by the Constitution and it was one of the remarkable features of the Constitution. In other countries, it had taken years of struggle to ensure universal adult franchise. Thus, the Constitution makers gave political equality to all citizens of India.

Equality: Another feature of the Constitution was the guarantee of equality before the law; regardless of caste or religious affiliations. While some leaders proposed to build the nation on Hindu ideals, Jawaharlal Nehru wanted to build a secular state.

Reservations for Underprivileged: Special privileges were given for the poorest and most disadvantaged Indians. The dalits and the tribals had faced oppression since ages. They were given reservation in government jobs and educational institutions so that they could improve their socioeconomic status. Reservation for these classes was also given in the Parliament and state legislatures.

During the early years of the 20th century, the prevalent model of schooling was an 8-year elementary school and a 4-year high school. In 1910, a different structure for schooling was introduced, based on a six–three–three system. A Review of General Psychology survey, published in 2002, ranked Dewey as the 93rd most cited psychologist of the 20th century. Dewey was also a major educational reformer for the 20th century. A well-known public intellectual, he was a major voice of progressive education and liberalism.

In modern education, benefits are there such as knowledge is not limited to the books as students or learners are understanding the concepts practically. If disadvantages are asked, students or learners are not having required social interaction and there will be a decrease in the self-motivation.

Dams are wider at the bottom and narrow at the top because to with stand the pressure under the water

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 1 month ago

While constructing dams the base is made more wider because a lot of water inside the dam increases the pressure on the ground and if the base will be little bit thinner than the dam can be broken or damaged and may result to a massive flood therefore the dam's bases made wilder.

Chlorofluorocarbons or the CFC are the main cause of ozone layer depletion. These are released by soaps, solvents, spray aerosols, refrigerators, air-conditioners, etc.

The molecules of chlorofluorocarbons in the stratosphere are broken down by the ultraviolet radiations and release chlorine atoms. These atoms react with ozone and destroy it.
