After the preparation of the soil, the seeds can be sown into it. The process of scattering seeds in the soil for growing the crop plants is called sowing. The good quality seeds are sown into the soil to obtain high yield. Seeds can be sown in the soil either by hand or using a seed drill.
- Traditional Tool: The tool used traditionally for sowing seeds is funnel shaped. The seeds are filled into the funnel, passed down through two or three pipes having sharp ends which pierce the soil and place seeds there.
- Sowing by hand: The sowing of seeds by hand is called broadcasting. The seeds are taken in hand and gradually scattered in the entire ploughed field. This method is not good as there is no proper spacing or proper depth at which the seeds are sown by hand. The seeds scattered on the surface of the soil for sowing can be picked up and eaten by birds.
- Seed Drill: It is an implement used for sowing seeds with the help of tractors. By using a seed drill, the seeds are sown at correct depth and correct intervals. The seeds sown with a seed drill are in regular rows and get covered by soil. This prevents the seeds to be picked up and eaten by birds.

The butane gas is in liquid state in the lighter . This is because , when it is placed in the body of the lighter , it is placed there under very high pressure as compared to the open air in standard atmospheric temperature and pressure . Increasing the pressure of the butane gas forces the molecules closer together. When comparing propane and butane, the most important differences come down to the boiling point of the gases. Propane has a boiling temperature of -42°C, whilst butane has a higher boiling point at -2°C. When stored as a liquid in a tank, propane also exerts a greater pressure than butane at the same temperature.

The use of a resource depends on its value. Following are the types of values: (a) Economic Value: Some resources can be bought or sold, or can be used to make things that can be bought or sold. For e.g. Minerals. The economic benefit provided by an environmental good or service is the sum of what all members of society would be willing to pay for it. For resources traded in markets such as oil, land, timber, and crops, the value of small quantities of market goods can be measured by their observed price.

Soil degradation is defined as a change in the soil health status resulting in a diminished capacity of the ecosystem to provide goods and services for its beneficiaries. Degraded soils have a health status such, that they do not provide the normal goods and services of the particular soil in its ecosystem. There are several physical factors contributing to soil degradation distinguished by the manners in which they change the natural composition and structure of the soil. Rainfall, surface runoff, floods, wind erosion, tillage, and mass movements result in the loss of fertile top spoil thereby declining soil quality.

The study of relationships between physical quantities with the help of their dimensions and units of measurements is called dimensional analysis. We use dimensional analysis in order to convert a unit from one form to another. In science and mathematical problems, we have to keep the unit same so that we can perform the mathematical operations easily.
