Peat is a soft, crumbly, dark brown substance that is formed from generations of dead and partially decaying organic matter. ... Peat is the first step in the formation of coal, and slowly becomes lignite after pressure and temperature increase as sediment is piled on top of the partially decaying organic matter. Peat is not coal, but can eventually transform into coal under the right circumstances. Peat is an accumulation of partly decayed vegetation that has gone through a small amount of carbonization. However, peat is still considered part of the coal “family” because it contains energy that its original plants contained.

A rational number between 3 and 4 is 1/2 (3 + 4) = 7/2.
Then, 3 < 7/2 < 4
A rational number between 3 and 7/2 = 1/2 {3 + 7/2} = 1/2 (3/1 + 7/2)
= 1/2 ((6 + 7)/2) = (1/2 × 13/2) = 13/4
A rational number between 7/2 and 4 = 1/2 {7/2 + 4} = 1/2 (7/2 + 4/1)
= 1/2 ((7 + 8)/2) = {1/2 × 15/2} = 15/4
Therefore, 3 < 13/4 < 7/2 < 15/4 < 4
Hence, 13/4, 7/2 and 15/4 are the three rational numbers lying between 3 and 4.

Fertilisers 1)Fertiliser is inorganic salt. 2) Fertiliser is prepared in factories. 3) fertiliser doesn't provide any humus to the soil. 4) fertiliser are very rich in plant nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Manures 1)Manure is a natural substance obtained by the decomposition of cattle dung,human waste and plant residues. 2)Manure can be prepared in the fields. 3) Manure provides a lot of humus to the soil. 4)Manure is relatively less rich in plant nutrients.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago

Manure and fertilizers function in the same way that is adding fertility to the soil. But they are different from each other.

Manures are obtained or prepared from natural sources like kitchen waste, vermicompost, human waste, and by decomposing the biodegradable materials. Manures are environment-friendly and are produced at a low cost. It is cost economical to farmers.

The fertilizers are synthetically and chemically manufactured in the factories and industries. Fertilizers harm the microbes present in the soil which help in nitrogen fixation and other important microbes that are useful to crop. It also decreases the soil fertility if it is prolonged and used for a longer duration. It is not cost economical for farmers.

Hi sir

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 4 months ago

The definition of a resource is something that is ready to use if or when it is needed. An example of resource is extra money in a savings account. An example of resource is a friend with electrical skills who has volunteered to help install a lighting fixture. An example of resource is spring water on a piece of land. These resources, called productive resources, are often classified into three groups: natural resources, human resources, and capital resources. Natural resources (often called land) refer to resources such as coal, water, trees, and land itself. Raw materials used in production come from natural resources.

The two main systems of Indigo cultivation in Bengal were Nij and Ryoti. In the Nij system, the British planters produced indigo in lands that they directly controlled. In the Ryoti system, the planters signed a contract with a peasant (a ryot) under which the peasant was compelled to grow indigo.

3x - 2x = 18
x = 18
2. 2y+5/3=26/3-y

2y + y = 26/3 - 5/3
3y = (26 - 5)/3
3y = 21/3
3y = 7
y = 7/3

3. x=4/5(x+10

5x = 4(x + 10)
5x = 4x + 40
5x - 4x = 40

Plantations are a type of commercial farming where a single crop of tea, coffee, sugarcane, cashew, rubber, banana or cotton is grown. A large amount of labor and capital are required. The produce may be processed on the farm itself or in nearby factories. The development of a transport network is thus essential for such farming. Rubber in Malaysia, coffee in Brazil, tea in India and Sri Lanka are some examples.
