Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist, who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule, and in turn inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Gandhi was born in Porbandar in 1869 and received primary education in the city. He was not a bright student and used to learn by writing with his finger in the dust. He was neither considered to be very gifted in the classroom nor in the playing field. Gandhi's basic education is a breakthrough in the prevalent and traditional system of education. He holds the view that a child's education should begin with the teaching of a useful craft to enable him to produce something right from the beginning of his study and training.

In plant cells, the vacuoles are much larger than in animal cells. When a plant cell has stopped growing, there is usually one very large vacuole. Sometimes that vacuole can take up more than half of the cell's volume. The vacuole holds large amounts of water or food.

i) After an year = Rs 2,32,000 + 16% of Rs 2,32,000

= Rs 2,32,000 + 16/100 * Rs 2,32,000

- हरिशंकर परसाई पाठ का सारांश- ‘बस की यात्रा’ नामक यह पाठ एक यात्रा-वृत्तान्त है जो व्यंग्यात्मक शैली में लिखा गया है। इस पाठ के माध्यम से यह बताया गया है कि प्राइवेट बस कंपनियों के मालिक कैसी-कैसी खटारा बसें चलाते हैं। वे अधिकाधिक मुनाफ़ा कमाने के चक्कर में यात्रियों की जान के साथ खिलवाड़ करने में भी संकोच नहीं करते। लेखक और उसके चार साथियों को जबलपुर जानेवाली ट्रेन पकड़नी थी। उन्होंने बस से पन्ना और उसी कंपनी की बस से सतना जाने का कार्यक्रम बनाया। वे सुबह पहुँचना चाहते थे। उनमें से दो को सुबह काम पर भी पहुँचना था। कुछ समझदार लोगों ने इस बस से यात्रा न करने की सलाह भी दी। लेखक ने देखा कि बस बिल्कुल टूटी-फूटी तथा जर्जर दशा में है। किसी वृद्धा की तरह वह सैकड़ों साल पुरानी हो चुकी थी। उसे देखकर यही लगता था कि वह चलेगी भी या नहीं। वास्तव में यह बस तो पूजा के योग्य थी। इस पर सवारी कैसे की जाए। उसी बस में कंपनी के हिस्सेदार भी यात्रा कर रहे थे। उनका कहना था कि बस एकदम ठीक है और अच्छी तरह चलेगी। बस की दशा देखकर लेखक और उसके साथी उससे जाने का निश्चय नहीं कर पा रहे थे। उसके डॉक्टर मित्र ने उसके अनुभव को याद दिलाते हुए कहा कि यह बस नई-नवेली बसों से भी ज़्यादा विश्वसनीय है। लेखक अपने साथियों के साथ बस में बैठ गया। जो छोड़ने आए थे, वे लेखक को इस तरह देख रहे थे, मानो लेखक इस दुनिया से जा रहा हो। उनकी आँखों में ऐसा भाव था, जैसे वे कह रही हों कि जो इस दुनिया में आया है उसे तो जाने का कोई न कोई बहाना चाहिए। बस के चालू होते ही सारी बस हिलने लगी। खिड़कियों के बचे-खुचे काँच भी गिरने की स्थिति में आ गए। लेखक डर रहा था कि वे काँच गिरकर लेखक को ही घायल न कर दें। लग रहा था कि सारी बस ही इंजन है। बस को चलता हुआ देखकर उसे गाँधी जी के असहयोग आंदोलन की बात याद आ गई। जिस तरह अंग्रेज़ों की गलत नीतियों का कोई देशवासी सहयोग नहीं कर रहा था, उसी प्रकार बस के अन्य भाग भी उसका सहयोग नहीं कर रहे थे। उसकी हिलती बॉडी देखकर लेखक को लग रहा था कि बॉडी बस को छोड़कर भागी जा रही है। आठ-दस मील चलने पर ऐसा लगने लगा कि लेखक टूटी सीटों के बीच कहीं अटका है। चलती बस अचानक रुक गई। लेखक को पता चला कि पेट्रोल की टंकी में छेद हो गया है। ड्राइवर ने पेट्रोल बाल्टी में निकाल लिया और अपनी बगल में रखकर नली से इंजन में भेजने लगा। लेखक सोच रहा था कि अब बस कंपनी के मालिक बस का इंजन अपनी गोद में रख लेंगे और नली से पेट्रोल उसी तरह पिलाएँगे जैसे माँ बच्चे को दूध पिलाती है। बस की चाल कम हो रही थी। लेखक का बस पर रहा-सहा भरोसा भी उठ गया। उसे डर लग रहा था कि कहीं बस का स्टेयरिंग न टूट जाए या उसका ब्रेक न फेल हो जाए। उसे हरे-भरे पेड़ अपने दुश्मन से लग रहे थे क्योंकि उनसे बस टकरा सकती थी। सड़क के किनारे झील देखने पर वह सोचता कि बस इसमें गोता न लगा जाए। इसी बीच बस पुनः रुक गई। ड्राइवर के प्रयासों के बाद भी बस न चली। कंपनी के हिस्सेदार बस को फ़र्स्ट क्लास की बताते हुए इसे संयोग मात्र बता रहे थे। कमज़ोर चाँदनी में बस ऐसी लग रही थी जैसे कोई बुढ़िया थककर बैठ गई हो। उसे डर लग रहा था कि इतने लोगों के बैठने से इसका प्राणांत ही न हो जाए और उन सबको उसकी अंत्येष्टि न करनी पड़ जाए। कंपनी के हिस्सेदार ने बस को खोलकर कुछ ठीक किया। बस तो चल पड़ी पर इसकी रफ़्तार अब और भी कम हो गई। बस की हेडलाइट की रोशनी भी कम होती जा रही थी। वह बहुत धीरे-धीरे चल रही थी। अन्य गाड़ियों के आते-जाते वह किनारे खड़ी हो जाती थी। बस कुछ दूर चलकर पुलिया पर पहुँची थी कि उसका एक टायर फट गया और बस झटके से रुक गई। यदि बस स्पीड में होती तो उछलकर नाले में गिर जाती। लेखक बस कंपनी के हिस्सेदार को श्रद्धाभाव से देख रहा था। वह सोच रहा था कि बस के टायरों की दयनीय हालत जानकर भी हिस्सेदार उस पर यात्रा किए जा रहे थे। उनके जैसी उत्सर्ग की भावना अन्यत्र मुश्किल थी। अपनी जान की परवाह किए बिना वे बस में सफ़र किए जा रहे थे। उनके साहस और बलिदान की भावना का सही उपयोग नहीं हो रहा था। उसे तो क्रांतिकारी आंदोलन का नेता होना चाहिए था। बस के नाले में गिरने से यदि यात्रियों की मृत्यु हो जाती तो देवता बाँहें पसारे उसका इंतज़ार करते और कहते कि वह महान आदमी आ रहा है, जिसने अपनी जान दे दी, पर टायर नहीं बदलवाया। दूसरा टायर लगाने पर बस पुनः चल पड़ी। लेखक एवं उसके मित्र पन्ना या कहीं भी जाने की उम्मीद छोड़ चुके थे। उन्हें लग रहा था कि पूरी ज़िंदगी इसी बस में बिताकर उस लोक को चले जाना है। इस पृथ्वी पर उसकी कोई मंजिल नहीं है। अब वे घर की तरह आराम से बैठ गए और चिंता छोड़कर हँसी-मजाक में शामिल हो गए।

एक बार लेखक अपने चार मित्रों के साथ बस से जबलपुर जाने वाली ट्रेन पकड़ने के लिए अपनी यात्रा बस से शुरु करने का फैसला लेते हैं। परन्तु कुछ लोग उसे इस बस से सफर न करने की सलाह देते हैं। उनकी सलाह न मानते हुए, वे उसी बस से जाते हैं किन्तु बस की हालत देखकर लेखक हंसी में कहते हैं कि बस पूजा के योग्य है।

नाजुक हालत देखकर लेखक की आँखों में बस के प्रति श्रद्धा के भाव आ जाते हैं। इंजन के स्टार्ट होते ही ऐसा लगता है की पूरी बस ही इंजन हो। सीट पर बैठ कर वह सोचता है वह सीट पर बैठा है या सीट उसपर। बस को देखकर वह कहता है ये बस जरूर गाँधी जी के असहयोग आंदोलन के समय की है क्योंकि बस के सारे पुर्जे एक-दूसरे को असहयोग कर रहे थे।

कुछ समय की यात्रा के बाद बस रुक गई और पता चला कि पेट्रोल की टंकी में छेद हो गया है। ऐसी दशा देखकर वह सोचने लगा न जाने कब ब्रेक फेल हो जाए या स्टेयरिंग टूट जाए।आगे पेड़ और झील को देख कर सोचता है न जाने कब टकरा जाए या गोता लगा ले।अचानक बस फिर रुक जाती है। आत्मग्लानि से मनभर उठता है और विचार आता है कि क्यों इस वृद्धा पर सवार हो गए।

इंजन ठीक हो जाने पर बस फिर चल पड़ती है किन्तु इस बार और धीरे चलती है।आगे पुलिया पर पहुँचते ही टायर पंचर हो जाता है। अब तो सब यात्री समय पर पहुँचने की उम्मीद छोड़ देते है तथा चिंता मुक्त होने के लिए हँसी-मजाक करने लगते है।अंत में लेखक डर का त्याग कर आनंद उठाने का प्रयास करते हैं तथा स्वयं को उस बस का एक हिस्सा स्वीकार कर सारे भय मन से निकाल देते हैं।
