The Sun's gravitational pull keeps our planet orbiting the Sun. The motion of the Moon is affected by the gravity of the Sun AND the Earth. The Moon's gravity pulls on the Earth and makes the tides rise and fall every day. The strength of the gravitational force between two objects depends on two factors, mass and distance. the force of gravity the masses exert on each other. If one of the masses is doubled, the force of gravity between the objects is doubled. increases, the force of gravity decreases.

Structure of Bacteria
The structure of bacteria is known for its simple body design. Bacteria are single-celled microorganisms with the absence of the nucleus and other cell organelles; hence, they are classified as prokaryotic organisms.
They are also very versatile organisms, surviving in extremely inhospitable conditions. Such organisms are called extremophiles. Extremophiles are further categorized into various types based on the types of environments they inhabit:
- Thermophiles
- Acidophiles
- Alkaliphiles
- Osmophiles
- Barophiles
- Cryophiles
Another fascinating feature of bacteria is their protective cell wall, which is made up of a special protein called peptidoglycan. This particular protein isn’t found anywhere else in nature except in the cell walls of bacteria.
But few of them are devoid of this cell wall, and others have a third protection layer called capsule. On the outer layer, one or more flagella or pili is attached, and it functions as a locomotory organ. Pili can also help certain bacteria to attach themselves to the host’s cells. They do not contain any cell organelle as in animal or plant cell except for ribosomes.
Ribosomes are the sites of protein synthesis. In addition to this DNA, they have an extra circular DNA called plasmid. These plasmids make some strains of bacteria resistant to antibiotics.

A metal is a material that has a very lustrous appearance when polished, fractured or freshly prepared and has a high thermal and electrical conductivity. Heavy metals are a type of metals that have comparatively very high densities, atomic numbers, thermal and electrical conductivities, etc. Hence, the key difference between metal and heavy metal is that heavy metals have relatively very high densities, atomic weights or atomic numbers compared to other metals.
Toxicity is another major difference between metal and heavy metal. Some metals can be toxic while others are not, but heavy metals can be toxic when present in higher concentrations. Moreover, metals do not bioaccumulate easily, but heavy metals do.

Coal and petroleum are formed as a result of degradation of ancient plant life which lived millions of years ago. These dead plant matter started to pile up, eventually forming a substance called peat. Over time, heat and pressure from geological processes transformed these materials into coal. Since these are formed from essentially fossils, they are also known as fossil fuels.

Coal:
1. Coal is a power resource, fossil fuel and fund resource.
2. Coal used directly in industries and indirectly for production of thermal power.
3. Different by-products of coal are used in various industries.
4. As a power resource, use of coal is decreasing.
5. Per unit heat and electricity generation from coal is less.
Petroleum:
1. Petroleum is a power resource, fossil fuel and fund resource.
2. Petroleum is also used directly for industries and indirectly for electricity generation.
3. Various by-products of crude oil are used in industries as raw materials.
4. Use of crude oil is increasing.
5. Per unit heat and electricity generation is much higher than coal.

The process of depositing a thin layer of silver electrolytically on the metal surface is called silver plating. The article to be silver-plated is used as cathode while anode consists of pure silver.
The bath contains a solution of potassium argentocyanide (AgNO3 + excess of KCN). The complex ion is very stable and ionisation is very small at a time with the result slow and uniform deposition of silver takes place.
[Ag(CN)2]2 ⇌ Ag++2CN−

The camel in described as as a grumpy and idle creature. In the story there is a camel who had to work but he did not want to work in the desert. Whenever anyone would ask him or say anything to him he only responded with the word, "hump". He liked sitting idle which is why he ate prickles, sticks and thorns.

The process of depositing a thin layer of any superior metal over an object of a cheaper metal, with the help of electric current is called electroplating.
For example; deposition of silver on brass or copper objects and that of copper, nickel, chromium etc., on objects made of iron is done by electroplating.
The experimental set up for electroplating copper on any object, such as a metallic spoon can be summarised here;
-The object to be electroplated, say iron spoon is made cathode(-ve electrode).
- A thin sheet of pure silver is made anode (+ve electrode).
-An acidified solution of silver cyanide(AgCN) is used as the electrolytic solution.
When electricity is passed through the solution, (AgCN), (Ag+) ions moves towards the anode and get reduced to silver metal. The silver metal gets electroplated on the object,i.e, metallic spoon.
The silver ions (Ag2/4+) moves towards
cathode. Here (Ag2/4+) ions do not get oxidised to Ag2+ ions. These silver ions (Ag2+) ions go into the solution. As a result of this reaction at the anode, concentration of (Ag2+) in the solution is maintained.
