A rational number, in Mathematics, can be defined as any number which can be represented in the form of p/q where q ≠ 0. Also, we can say that any fraction fits under the category of rational numbers, where the denominator and numerator are integers and the denominator is not equal to zero. When the rational number (i.e., fraction) is divided, the result will be in decimal form, which may be either terminating decimal or the repeating decimal.

example: 7/5, 11//3

Resources that we get from nature and use without much modification

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 1 month ago

Natural resources are resources that exist without any actions of humankind. This includes all valued characteristics such as commercial and industrial use, aesthetic value, scientific interest and cultural value. On Earth, it includes sunlight, atmosphere, water, land along with all vegetation, and animal life. Natural resources are Earth materials used to support life and meet the needs of people. Any organic material used by humans can be considered as a natural resource. Natural resources include oil, coal, natural gas, metals, stone, and sand. Air, sunlight, soil, and water are other natural resources.

We can hear sound in space by radiowaves.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 1 month ago

ANSWER

Sound waves are mechanical waves. Unlike electromagnetic waves, they require a medium to propagate.

Sound cannot travel through a vacuum. A vacuum is an area without any air, like space. So sound cannot travel through space because there is no matter for the vibrations to work on it.

To construct a quadrilateral it is necessary to know at least 5 of its parts.

Measurement of 5 parts of a quadrilateral are sufficient to construct it in the following cases:

1. Four sides and one Diagonal.

2. Three sides and both diagonals.

3. Two adjacent sides and 3 angles.

4. Three sides and two included angles.

5. Four sides and one angle.

It is always convenient and helpful to draw a rough sketch of the quadrilateral and indicate the given measurements.

==========================================================

[ Figure is in the attachment]

Steps of construction:

(a) Draw a line segment LI = 4 cm.

(b) Taking radius 4.5 cm, draw an arc taking L as centre.

(c) Draw an arc of 3 cm taking Las centre which intersects the first arc at F.

(d) Join FI and FL.

(e) Draw another arc of radius 2.5 cm taking L as centre and 4 cm taking I as centre which intersect at T.

(f) Join TF, Tl and TI.

It is the required quadrilateral LIFT

In the given polynomial p2+p−132,

The first term is p2 and its coefficient is 1.

The middle term is p and its coefficient is 1.

The last term is a constant term −132.

Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant 1×−132=−132.

We now find the factor of −132 whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is 1 and then factorize the polynomial p2+p−132 as shown below:

p2+p−132=p2+12p−11p−132=p(p+12)−11(p+12)=(p−11)(p+12)

Hence, p2+p−132=(p−11)(p+12).

In the given polynomial a2+5a−104,

The first term is a2 and its coefficient is 1.

The middle term is 5a and its coefficient is 5.

The last term is a constant term −104.

Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant 1×−104=−104.

We now find the factor of −104 whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is 5 and then factorize the polynomial a2+5a−104 as shown below:

a2+5a−104=a2+13a−8a−104=a(a+13)−8(a+13)=(a−8)(a+13)

Hence, a2+5a−104=(a−8)(a+13).

Cotton and silk textiles had a huge market in Europe. Indian textiles were by far the most popular, both for their fine quality and exquisite craftsmanship. Different varieties of Indian textiles were sold in the Western markets; for example, chintz, cossaes or khassa, bandanna and jamdani. Kazuo Kobayashi explains how the demand for Indian cotton textiles among Africans underpinned the trans-Atlantic slave trade in the eighteenth century.

Let us find LCM of 4, 9 and 10
4 = 2 x 2
9 = 3 x 3
10 = 5 x 2
So, LCM = 2 2 x 3 2 x 5 = 180
Now the LCM gives us a clue that if 180 is multiplied by 5 then it will become a perfect square.
The Required number = 180 x 5 = 900
