Diameter of tank = 42 cm

Radius of tank =

Height of tank = 12 cm

Volume of cylindrical tank =

Length of rectangular tank = 44 cm

Breadth of tank = 42 cm

Let the height be h

Volume of cylinder with radius r and height h is given by

V = πr²h

It is given that,a cylindrical candle has base radius 3.5

The volume of cylindrical candle = 308 cm cube

To find the height of candle

Volume of candle is given by

V = πr²h

308 = 3.14 x 3.5 x 3.5 x h

h = 8cm

Therefore the height of cylindrical candle= 8 cm

Given the three cubes of metal whose side are 3 cm , 4 cm and 5 cm

Then volume of cube who side 3 cm=(3)3=27cm3

And  volume of cube who side 4 cm=(4)3=64cm3

And  volume of cube who side 5 cm=(5)3=125cm3

Total volume of melted cube=27+64+125=216cm3

Then the side of new cube=a3=216

⇒a=6cm

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago

vol. of larger metal cube = vol. of three smaller cubes
=(3)³ + 4³ + 5³
= 27 + 64 + 125
= 216 cm³
vol.of larger metal cube = 216 cm³
(a)³ = 216 cm³
a³ = 6³
a = 6 cm
therefore edge of larger metal cube is 6 cm

Arbitrary law is a law which has been passed by the legislator to fulfil his motives or simply out of his will. Rowlatt act was a classic example of arbitrary law which allowed the British government to imprison anybody without trial. Another example of the arbitrariness that continued to exist as part of British law is the Sedition Act of 1870.

In today's world surveys are very important to introduce any kind of product in market. For example, a car company first takes the survey to get information about choice of people about features of cars then prepare its car according to peoples choices. Government find out about the young people in school by the age mentioned in documents. Historian can derive the information about ratio of young and older people at particular period of time.

Because of gravity between them

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago

The moon never actually falls on the surface of the earth.

Now, to understand this, we first need to understand the nature of the force between the moon and earth and also the movement of the moon under this force.

So, the gravitational force is the force that acts between the earth and the moon, and the moon moves in the circular orbital due to the centripetal force generated by the gravitational force.

Similarly, earth and sun also experience this gravitational force between themselves.

So, yes the moon does fall towards the earth, but the earth also moves in its orbit and covers more distance away from the moon relative to the distance covered by the moon.

 Hence, the moon never falls on the surface of the earth

Put simply, properties describe objects. Methods cause an object to do something. Events are what happens when an object does something. Every object, such as a form or control, has a set of properties that describe it. I think this is the answer of your questions

It's because of interlocking of irregular surfaces.

A n s w e r:

A rough surface causes more friction because the irregularities on the rough surface are more when compared to the smooth surface. These irregularities helps in increasing the friction.

If the surface is rough the friction increase And decrease if surface is smooth

Key Features of Permanent Settlement: Landlords or Zamindars were recognised as the owners of the land. They were given hereditary rights of succession of the lands under them. The amount to be paid by the landlords was fixed. It was agreed that this would not increase in future (permanent in nature). The fixed amount was 10/11th portion of the revenue for the government and 1/10th was for the Zamindar. The Zamindar also had to give the tenant a patta which described the area of the land given to him and the rent he had to pay the landlord. Zamindars being sons of the soil, it was thought that they could reach the far corners of the region and also understand local customs very well. Because of the permanent nature of the system, there was a sense of security for everyone. The company knew the amount it would get in revenue. The landlord also was assured of the amount. Finally, the farmers also, in lieu of the patta were certain of their holdings and knew how much rent was to be paid. Since the settlement was of a permanent nature, the Zamindars would have an interest in the improvement in the land thereby improving the revenue.

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago

The main features of the permanent settlements are described below:

(i)The amount of revenue was fixed permanently, that is, it was not to be increased ever in future.

(ii) It was felt that this would ensure a regular flow of revenue into the Company’s coffers and at the same time encourage the zamindars to invest in improving the land.

(iii) Since the revenue demand of the state would not be increased, the zamindar would benefit from increased production from the land.

(iv) Under this system revenue had been fixed so high that the zamindars found it difficult to pay. Anyone who failed to pay the revenue lost his zamindari. Numerous zamindaris were sold off at auctions organised by the Company.

(v) Even when the income of zamindars increased with the expansion of cultivation, the company had no chance of gain because it could not increase a revenue demand that had been fixed permanently.

Ans:

static, sliding, rolling

Friction comes into play when irregularities present in the surfaces of two objects in contact get interlocked with each other. Static friction comes into play when we try to move an object which is at rest. Sliding friction comes into play when an object slides over the surface of another object. In sliding friction, the time given for interlocking is very small. Hence, interlocking is not strong. Therefore, less force is required to overcome this interlocking. Because of this reason, sliding friction is less than static friction. Similarly, the area of contact in case of rolling friction is smallest as compared to static or sliding friction. This area of contact changes gradually because of rolling. Hence, rolling friction is lesser than both static and sliding friction. Thus, the correct sequence is—static, sliding, rolling
