An atom is the tiniest possible particle of any element, like carbon or oxygen. A carbon atom combines easily with two oxygen atoms to make the compound carbon dioxide. "C" stands for carbon, "O" stands for oxygen, so carbon dioxide is often called "C-O-2, and written "CO2." CO2 is a gas. It is invisible.

Petroleum is lighter than water. We can separate these two by the method of decantation. Light petroleum can be poured carefully as it remains at the top of the water.

Ar᭄Adιтya A 4 years, 10 months ago

I will separate it with using physical properties of petroleum and water, Since petroleum has less density than water so it is lighter than water and in mixture it will float on water. Thus we can easily separate.
