To find the square root of 400 using long division method, you can follow these steps: 1. Start by grouping the digits in pairs from right to left. Since 400 is a perfect square, it can be written as \(20^2\). So, we group the digits as 4 and 00. 2. Begin with the largest number whose square is less than or equal to 4, which is 2. Write 2 as the quotient and divisor, and place a decimal point after it. 3. Square 2, which equals 4. Subtract 4 from the first group (4). Bring down the next group (00) next to the remainder. 4. Double the quotient (2) to get 4, and write it as the trial divisor. Add a digit to the quotient (let's say 'x') such that 4x multiplied by x is less than or equal to 400. Since \(20^2 = 400\), we know that x should be 0. 5. Multiply the trial divisor (40) by 0, and subtract the result from the number formed by the first two groups (400). This gives you the remainder. 6. Bring down the next pair of zeros (00) and repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have enough decimal places or until you reach the desired level of accuracy. Since 400 is a perfect square, its square root is a whole number, which is 20. So, the square root of 400 by long division method is 20.

The relation between a colony and an imperialist country is one of dominance and subjugation. An imperialist country typically establishes control over a colony, often through military conquest or political influence, in order to exploit its resources, labor, or strategic location for the benefit of the imperial power. This relationship is characterized by unequal power dynamics, with the imperialist country exercising authority and control over the colony's economic, political, and social affairs. The colony may experience oppression, exploitation, and loss of autonomy as a result of being under the rule of the imperialist country.

To find the gain or loss percent, we first need to calculate the profit or loss made by the man. Profit = Selling Price - Cost Price Given: Cost Price (CP) = ₹1250 Selling Price (SP) = ₹1600 Profit = SP - CP Profit = ₹1600 - ₹1250 Profit = ₹350 Now, to find the gain percent: Gain Percent = (Profit / Cost Price) * 100 Substitute the values: Gain Percent = (350 / 1250) * 100 Calculate: Gain Percent = (0.28) * 100 Gain Percent = 28% So, the man made a profit of 28%.

Let's denote the tens digit of the two-digit number as \( x \) and the units digit as \( y \). According to the given conditions: 1. The sum of the digits is 9: \[ x + y = 9 \] 2. The number is 6 times the unit digit: \[ 10x + y = 6y \] Now, we have a system of two equations: \[ \begin{cases} x + y = 9 \\ 10x + y = 6y \end{cases} \] From the first equation, we can express \( x \) in terms of \( y \): \[ x = 9 - y \] Substitute this expression for \( x \) into the second equation: \[ 10(9 - y) + y = 6y \] \[ 90 - 10y + y = 6y \] \[ 90 - 9y = 6y \] \[ 90 = 15y \] \[ y = 6 \] Now, substitute the value of \( y \) back into the first equation to find \( x \): \[ x = 9 - 6 \] \[ x = 3 \] So, the tens digit \( x \) is 3 and the units digit \( y \) is 6. Therefore, the number is 36.

To calculate the sum of money (principal) that yields a simple interest of ₹270 over 2(1/4) years at an interest rate of 1(1/2) percent per annum, you can use the formula: \[ \text{Simple Interest} = \frac{P \times R \times T}{100} \] Where: - \( P \) is the principal (the sum of money) - \( R \) is the rate of interest per annum - \( T \) is the time in years Given: - Simple Interest (\( SI \)) = ₹270 - Time (\( T \)) = 2(1/4) years = 2.25 years - Rate of Interest (\( R \)) = 1(1/2)% = 1.5% Now, plug the values into the formula: \[ 270 = \frac{P \times 1.5 \times 2.25}{100} \] To find \( P \), first, calculate \( P \times 1.5 \times 2.25 \) and then divide both sides by \( 1.5 \times 2.25 \). \[ P \times 1.5 \times 2.25 = 270 \times 100 \] \[ P = \frac{270 \times 100}{1.5 \times 2.25} \] \[ P = \frac{27000}{3.375} \] \[ P = 8000 \] So, the principal (sum of money) is ₹8000.
