The food materials like milk, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, cooked food, etc. get spoiled easily as they contain a lot of water due to which microorganisms can grow on them easily. We can prevent such food items by the proper methods of food preservation. The process in which the food materials are given a suitable physical or chemical treatment to prevent their spoilage is called food preservation.
Food Poisoning: if the food is not covered properly, stored properly or preserved properly, then it gets spoiled by the action of microorganisms. Microorganisms that grow on our food sometimes produce toxic substances. If such food is eaten, it will lead to food poisoning. Thus, food poisoning is the disease caused due to the presence of large number of microorganisms in the food or due to the presence of toxic substances in the food formed by the action of microorganisms.

Cilia and flagella are projections from the cell. They are made up of microtubules , as shown in this cartoon and are covered by an extension of the plasma membrane. They are motile and designed either to move the cell itself or to move substances over or around the cell. Cilia and flagella are tube-like appendages which allow for motion in eukaryotic cells. ... The motion of the cilia or flagellum moves the liquid outside the cell and if the cell is not anchored, it can "swim." A commonly recognized example is the "tail" on a sperm cell, which is actually a flagellum.
