Pelvis, also called bony pelvis or pelvic girdle, in human anatomy, basin-shaped complex of bones that connects the trunk and the legs, supports and balances the trunk, and contains and supports the intestines, the urinary bladder, and the internal *** organs. The pelvic girdle, as I said above, is made up of three fused bones: the ischium, the ilium, and the pubis. The pubis forms the anterior part of the pelvic girdle. It is a flattened, irregular-shaped bone that articulates with the pubic symphysis, a cartilaginous joint. Widening of the hip bones occurs as part of the female pubertal process, and estrogens (the predominant *** hormones in females) cause a widening of the pelvis as a part of sexual differentiation. Hence females generally have wider hips, permitting childbirth.

Friction is a force that opposes the relative motion between two surfaces of objects in contact. The force of friction always acts in a direction opposite to that of the applied force. Friction exists between two surfaces due to irregularities on the surfaces of the objects in contact, interlocking of micro-level irregularities of the two surfaces and ploughing of harder surfaces into smoother surfaces.

Before the arrival of Lord Cornwallis, the police was under the authority of the zamindars and thus reported to them. Lord Cornwallis brought the police system under the Crown's governance and created a system under which 'thanas' headed by police inspectors were constituted at the level of districts, and such thanas reported to the superintendent of police (S.P.).

Let l, b, h represent length, breadth and height of the cuboid.
Area of the rectangular base of the cuboid = l × b.
Volume of the cuboid = (Area of base) × (height of the cuboid) = (l × b) × h = lbh
While finding the volume of cuboid, length, breadth and height must be expressed in the same units.

Excessive or unwanted sounds are called noise. Noise is unpleasant to hear. E.g., Sound produced by a bunch of students speaking together in the classroom.
The sounds which are pleasing to the ears are called music. It gives a soothing effect rather than creating a chaos in mind. E.g., Sound produced by a harmonium sound.
Music becomes a noise when it crosses the bearable range of sound for ears.

1) Fission: Fission means division. During asexual reproduction, the parent cell divides into two or more cells. Unicellular organisms show different patterns of cell division according to their cell structure. For example, an amoeba can divide itself into two at any plane but the division in euglena is longitudinal.
Fission can be of two types, namely, binary fission and multiple fission. In binary fission, parent cell divides into two equal halves called daughter cells. Daughter cells are identical to each other and to their parent cell. Organisms like the amoeba, bacteria, euglena, etc., exhibit binary fission.
2) Fragmentation: Fragmentation is another mode of asexual reproduction. Multi-cellular organisms like planaria, spirogyra, etc. reproduce by fragmentation. The parent body divides into two or more fragments. Later, each fragment develops into a new individual.
3) Regeneration: When a lizard loses its tail, it grows a new one. This is known as regeneration. In many organisms, there are specialized cells, which can differentiate and grow into a new organism. Organisms like hydra and planaria also show regeneration. In these organisms, when the cell divides into numerous pieces, each piece proliferates and differentiates to regenerate new organisms.
4) Budding: Some organisms develop buds on their body. These buds develop into a new individual. This is known as budding. An example is a hydra. From the parent hydra, a bud arises which eventually matures into a new hydra. Once it gets mature, it detaches from the parent body.
5) Vegetative Propagation : Plants reproduce asexually through their vegetative parts such as leaves, roots, stem, and buds. This is known as vegetative propagation. For example, onion bulbs, tubers of potato, runners/stolon, etc. Vegetative propagation is much faster than the sexual reproduction in plants. This can be done artificially as well, which is widely employed in horticulture.
