Plants do need food for their survival and they would not wait or depend on others to provide them with food. There is a particular mechanism in plants with which they prepare their food. This mechanism is known as Photosynthesis. Photosynthesis occurs mainly in leaves of specialized cell structures known as chloroplasts.

Forces that act on a body directly or through a connector are called contact forces., e.g., muscular force, frictional force, mechanical force, etc.

Forces which do not make direct contact with a body but act through space are called non-contact forces, e.g., gravitational force, electric force, magnetic force, etc.

In fist cuboid say a=40 ,b=60,c=50

SA=2(ab+BC+ca)

=2(40×60+60×50+50×40)

=2(2400+3000+2000)=2×7400=14800 cm2.....(1)

In 2nd cuboid a=b=c=50 this is a cube

SA=6a2=6×50×50=15000 cm2....(2)

So 1st one requires less material.

Mercury does not react with non-oxidizing acids but does react with concentrated nitric acid, HNO3, or concentrated sulphuric acid, H2SO4, to form mercury(II) compounds together with nitrogen or sulphur oxides. Mercury dissolves slowly in dilute nitric acid to form mercury(I) nitrate, mercurous nitrate, Hg2(NO3)2. Mercury tends to react with particular groups of elements or compounds. Mercury also reacts with oxygen at high temperatures to form mercury (II) oxide, which is a red powder. Similarly, mercury reacts with oxidizing acids, such as nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, because they contain oxygen.
