The metallic body of electric appliances is connected to the earth wire so that any leakage of electric current is transferred to the ground. This prevents severe electric shock to the user. That is why earthing of the electrical appliances is necessary.

The word “megalith” comes from the Ancient Greek megas meaning “great” and lithos meaning “stone”
A megalith is a large stone that has been used to construct a structure or monument, either alone or together with other stones. The word megalithic is used to describe structures made of such large stones without the use of mortar or concrete, representing periods of prehistory characterised by such constructions. For later periods, the term monolith, with an overlapping meaning, is more likely to be used.

When you heat something, you add energy to it. This causes the particles to move faster and farther apart. Heating solids turns them into liquids. Turning a solid into a liquid is called melting. Take a metallic ball and ring. The diameters of the ring and the ball are such that ball is just able to pass through the ring at the room temperature. Now heat the ball and try to pass the ball through the ring. It does not pass through the ring as shown in the figure (b). This clearly shows that on heating the diameter of the ball has increased i.e., the solid has expanded. Now cool the ball to room temperature. After cooling it is found that ball passes through the ring which clearly shows that diameter of the ball has decreased, i.e., the solid contracts on cooling.

The bulbourethral glands are part of the male reproductive system. They may also be referred to as the Cowper's glands .The paired bulbourethral glands are roughly the size of a pea and are located in the deep perineal pouch. They are at the base of the ***** and are lateral (to the side) and posterior to (behind) the urethra, which is the tube through which semen and urine exit the body.
