A person sleeping in such room gets carbon monoxide poisoning. CO combines with Hb more readily than oxygen forming carboxyhaemoglobin. This reduces the amount of free Hb available for carrying O2. Thus, the tissue is starved of O2. This is the reason why it is not advisable to sleep in closed rooms warmed with coals.

Newton’s first law of motion states that “A body at rest or uniform motion will continue to be at rest or uniform motion until and unless a net external force acts on it”. Suppose a block is kept on the floor, it will remain at rest until we apply some external force to it. Also, we know that it takes us more effort or force to move a heavy mass. This is directly related to a property known as Inertia. This law is also known as the law of inertia.
Newton’s second law of motion: The first law has already given us a qualitative definition of force. Now we are interested in finding out its magnitude. According to Newton’s second law of motion, the net force experienced by a body is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum of the body.
Newton’s third law of motion: According to Newton’s third law of motion, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Forces are always found in pairs. For instance, when you sit on a chair, your body exerts a force downward and that chair needs to exert an equal force upward or else the chair will collapse.

A synthetic fibre is a polymer made up of a chain of small molecules joined together. These small molecules which join together to form a polymer are called monomers. Polymers are of two types – natural polymer and synthetic polymer. Cotton is made up of a natural polymer called cellulose in which glucose molecules are joined together one after the other.
A plastic is synthetic material which can be moulded into desired shape when soft and then hardened to produce a durable article.
Plastics are polymers. A number of articles made up of plastics are used in our daily life like water pipes, pens, combs, toothbrushes, toys, shoes, etc.
