A push or a pull exerted on an object in order to change the motion of the object is known as force

Aryan Saxena 6 years, 5 months ago

In physics, a force is an interaction that causes an affected object to be pushed or pulled in a certain direction. This results in an alteration to the state of the object's momentum. Forces causes objects to accelerate, add to the object's overall pressure, change direction, or change shape. The strength of a force is measured in Newtons (N). There are four fundamental forces in physics.

Whether an object floats or sinks in water is determined by the ratio of its weight compared to its volume. If an object of a certain volume weighs more than an equal volume of water, it sinks because the water can’t hold it up. If an object weighs less than an equal volume of water, it floats because the water can support its weight.

This ratio between weight and volume is called density. An object that is less dense than water can be held up by water, and so it floats. An object that is more dense than water will sink. A piece of charcoal has less density than water so it floats whereas a piece of wood has more density than water so it sinks.

Birsa Munda was born in the mid 1870s. He grew up around the forests of Bohonda. His father had to move from place to place in search of work. During his adolescent years, Birsa had heard the tales of the Munda uprisings of the past. He had heard about the sirdars (leaders) of the community urging people to revolt. The sirdars talked of a golden age. This was an age when the Mundas had been free from the oppression of dikus (enemies). They visualized of a time when the ancestral right of the community would be restored.
