The relatively autonomous Mongoloid tribal groups of Northeastern India (including Khasis, Apatani and Nagas), who are mostly Austro-Asiatic or Tibeto-Burman speakers, are also considered to be adivasis.
Adivasi is the collective term for the indigenous peoples of mainland South Asia. Adivasi make up 8.6% of India's population.

polygamy is the practice of having more than one wife or husband at the same time.
Polygamy (state of marriage to many spouses) is the practice of marrying multiple spouses. When a man is married to more than one wife at a time, sociologists call this polygyny. When a woman is married to more than one husband at a time, it is called polyandry. If a marriage includes multiple husbands and wives, it can be called a group marriage.

Static friction is the resistance to movement when two non-moving solid objects are in contact with each other. Static friction matches applied force and prevents motion. Static friction ceases and kinetic friction comes into play.
Static friction keeps an object stationary when it is placed on a surface. For example it keeps a wooden block from sliding down a small incline.

“Oriental” was meant by Christians to refer to non Christian civilizations. Actually, in Western Europe, Orthodox Christians would often be deemed as “oriental”. More specifically, Muslim countries were called oriental, being for a long time the only different civilization well known to Europeans. More broadly, it woud apply to anything East, which included India and the Far East. The term did never apply to Africa or America, since they had mostly a tribal lifestyle, and were classified as “wild”. On the other hand, “oriental” rather implied different but refined civilizations with cities, art, elaborate religions and undecipherable scripts.
