2. This act effectively authorized the government to imprison any person for a maximum period of two years, without trial who was suspected of doing terror in the Raj.

Revolt of 1857 was the time when Indians of India got a idea to revolt against British . People of all categories revolted :- Farmer:- they were forced to grow indigo .( Indigo makes the soil of the land unfertile ) They were said to grow it on 25 % of Thier land if the land was unfertile so on other 25% and like this other . Weaver :- they broth use to bring clothes England and weaver's had a great loss of money . Solider:- there were some rifles brought from London which were called the enfields. The rifles had cartilages wich were need to e chewed and fired. A news was spread that the cartilage was made of cow and pig. According to Hindu mythology cow is very holy and Muslims thinks the pigs are the worst.mangal was the rebellion from soldiers. Kings:- they had lost all Thier powers , they were if they don't have child the authorities go to the British. Fun fact:- enfields rifles were molten and made royal Enfield.

All the sepoys and peasents and zimidars became and familiee to war with british and destroyed all things of them set fire under authority of the bahuadur shah jafar 10 may 1857 and in end the bahudur shah were defeated in the end and died in jail and war not stop inseptember war stop then british given so many rights to indian people and it waa the first war of independence.
