A drought (or drouth, in some regions) is an event of prolonged shortages in the water supply, whether atmospheric (below-average precipitation), surface water or ground water. A drought can last for months or years, or may be declared after as few as 15 days. It can have a substantial impact on the ecosystem and agriculture of the affected region and harm to the local economy.

A drought can last for months or years, or may be declared after as few as 15 days. It can have a substantial impact on the ecosystem and agriculture of the affected region and harm to the local economy. Annual dry seasons in the tropics significantly increase the chances of a drought developing and subsequent bush fires. Periods of heat can significantly worsen drought conditions by hastening evaporation of water vapour.

Angle of incident=Angle of reflection so, the correct answer is 60°. I think so.

Drishti Ranjan 5 years ago

I think that your answer is wrong. If you read the question carefully, it says that the incident ray forms 60° with the "MIRROR". The angle of incidence is the angle formed between the incident ray and the "NORMAL". Normal=90° with the mirror Angle between incident ray and mirror=60° Angle between incident ray and normal (angle of incidence)= 90-60= 30° As angle of reflection = Angle of incidence Angle of reflection = 30°

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago

In optics, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection. Therefore, the angle of reflection will also be 60°.

When one body rolls over the surface of another body , the resistance to its motion is called rolling friction. Example take few pencils and put the book on it than push the book you will observe the pencils are also moving with book . And the causion between the two moving parts ,they reduce the friction. The pencils is one substance and the book is second substance and the floor is surface. So, the rolling friction reduce friction

An exothermic reaction is a reaction in which energy is released in the form of light or heat. Thus in an exothermic reaction, energy is transferred into the surroundings rather than taking energy from the surroundings as in an endothermic reaction. In an exothermic reaction, change in enthalpy ( ΔH) will be negative.

The processing cycle of the waste materials is called recycling

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago

In general, Recycling is defined as a process of converting waste and non-useful products into new and useful products for human use. Recycling is an excellent and cost-efficient system of conserving the environment and saving energy.

Recycling of waste products is more essential as it helps in treating waste and used products and converting them into useful or new products. Recycling also helps in monitoring air, land and water pollution.

A nucleus is defined as a double-membraned eukaryotic cell organelle that contains the genetic material.

Structure Of Nucleus

  • It is generally the most prominent organelle in the cell.
  • The nucleus is completely bound by membranes.
  • It is surrounded by a structure called the nuclear envelope.
  • The membrane separates the contents of the nucleus from the cytoplasm.
  • The cell’s chromosomes are also enclosed within it.
  • DNA is present in the Chromosomes, and they provide the genetic information required for the creation of other cell components and also for reproduction of life.

Irrigation is the process by which water is supplied to the crops. The frequency of irrigation varies from season to season and crop to crop. Plants contain nearly 90% water, and need water for proper development of flowers, fruits and seeds. Irrigation can be done by two methods - Traditional methods and Modern methods. Some of the traditional and modern methods are elucidated.
*Traditional methods of irrigation require animal and human labour to draw water. these are the cheapest methods available and are still in use. These include moat, chain pump, dhekli and rahat.
*Modern methods are the irrigation methods which are efficient in supplying water to the crops. They help us to use water economically without wastage. They include drip irrigation and sprinkler system which require power from solar energy or biogas.

  • The area of the edge of a knife’s blade is extremely small. This creates a pressure high enough for the blade to cut through a material.
  • Syringes are used to take blood for blood tests. The pressure of the liquid (blood) forces the liquid to move into the syringe when its plunger is withdrawn.
  • When air is sucked out of a drinking straw, the air pressure inside if decreases and the atmospheric pressure outside forces the liquid to go inside the straw.
  • Skis have a large area to reduce the pressure on the snow. This ensures that the skis do not sink into the snow too far.
  • The pressure under the studs on the soles of football shoes is high enough for them to sink into the ground, which gives extra grip.
  • A vacuum cleaner has a fan inside that creates a low pressure inside the device. Consequently, air and dirt particles are sucked into the device.

Manometers

A manometer is a tube-like device which measures atmospheric measure. There are two types: closed tube and open tube, but both measure pressure by comparing the pressure exerted by the atmosphere at one end of the tube with a known pressure at the other. Manometer tubes are typically filled with mercury.

Barometer

Barometers also measure atmospheric pressure. Mercury barometers are a type of closed-tube manometer, while aneroid barometers use a small, spring balance to take the measurement. In the past, mercury barometers were common in family homes where people used them to predict the weather based on the air pressure reading. Rising air pressure meant good weather was on the way, while falling pressure might bring rain.

Magnetic Force is a force that attracts certain metal objects (like iron and iron filings) towards a magnet.

Electrostatic force is the force exerted by a charged body on another charged or uncharged body. Eg: Take a comb and brush it on a hair 3-4 times and then take it near some small bits of paper. Donot touch the comb with the paper. The bits of paper would get attracted to the comb. This is because the comb is charged because of the rubbing on your hair and it attracts uncharged objects like paper.

Gravitational force is a force exerted by the earth on all objects on it. When a ball is thrown up, it falls to the ground because of gravitational force. The water from a tap always flows downwards because of gravitational force.

The net force is defined as is the sum of all the forces acting on an object. Net force can accelerate a mass. Some or the other force acts on anybody either at rest or motion. The net force is a term used in a system when there is a significant number of forces.

If N is the number of forces acting on a body, the net force formula is given by,

FNet = F1 + F2 + F3….+ FN

Where,

F1, F2, F3….FN is the forces acting on a body.
