The distance from the pole to the focal point is called the focal length (f). The focal length of a spherical mirror is then approximately half its radius of curvature. It is important to note up front that this is an approximately true relationship. Analytically, the focal length is described by the lens maker's equation: 1/f = (n - 1)(1/R1 + 1/R2), where R1 and R2 are the radii of curvature, f is the focal length, and n is the index of refraction. Verify that your earlier measurements are consistent with this equation.

Petrochemicals
Those chemicals which are obtained from petroleum and natural gas are called petrochemicals.
For Ex:Methyl alcohol,ethyl alcohol,formaldehyde,acetone,acetic acid,ethylene,benzene,toluene,vinyl chloride etc.
They are important because they are used to manufacture large number of useful material such as detergents, synthetic fibres, plastics, synthetic rubber, drugs, dyes, perfumes, fertilisers, insecticides etc.

The pressure is usually defined as the amount of force that is applied to a certain area. The pressure is a physical quantity and mostly expressed as formula p = F/A where F and A are force per area perpendicular to the surface. While we have already discussed everything about pressure in our earlier article, here we will explore the topic of units of pressure.
The SI unit of pressure is Pascal (represented as Pa) which is equal to one newton per square metre (N/m-2 or kg m-1s-2). Interestingly, this name was given in 1971. Before that pressure in SI was measured in newtons per square metre.
