Ritcher scale is used to measure earthquakes
The Richter scale is a logarithmic scale that measures the magnitude of an earthquake. It uses the amplitude of the largest seismic wave to determine the earthquake's magnitude. The scale ranges from 1 to 10, with no upper limit. Because it's logarithmic, an earthquake rated as 5 is ten times as powerful as one rated as 4.

Things required: A dry cell, pieces of copper wire, two iron nails, a rubber cork, a bulb fixed in a bulb holder, a beaker, lemon juice, vinegar, tap water, dilute hydrochloric acid, dilute potassium hydroxide, alcohol, kerosene and mustard oil. Method: 1. Take two iron nails and fix them on a rubber cork. 2. Take a beaker and place the rubber cork having the iron nails. Make a circuit by connecting a bulb, a switch, a cell using copper wire and iron nails. This is your electric tester. 3. Pour lemon juice in the beaker carefully.
