Endangered species are those that are at risk of becoming extinct in the near future if conservation efforts are not implemented. They have declining populations and face significant threats to their survival, such as habitat loss, pollution, and poaching. Extinct species, on the other hand, are those that no longer exist in the wild or anywhere else. They have completely disappeared from the Earth due to various factors, such as natural disasters, habitat destruction, overhunting, or inability to adapt to changing environmental conditions. Extinction means the permanent loss of a species.

Fix a white sheet of stiff paper on a drawing board or a table. Take a comb and close all its opening except one in the middle. Hold the comb perpendicular to the sheet of paper. Throw light from a torch through the opening of the comb from one side. With slight adjustment of the torch and the comb we will see a Ray of light along the paper on the other side of the comb. Keep the comb and the torch steady. Place a strip of plane project a little beyond the edge of the table. Cut the projecting portion of the sheet in the middle. Look at the reflected ray. Make sure that the reflected ray extends to the project portion of the paper. Bend that part of the projected portion on which the reflected ray falls. Bring the paper bag to the original position. Farmers often prefer to plant seeds that are well-suited to their local climate, soil conditions, and market demand. Some commonly preferred seeds by farmers include: 1. Hybrid seeds: These are bred through controlled pollination of different varieties to produce offspring with desirable traits such as disease resistance, high yield, and uniformity. 2. Genetically modified (GM) seeds: These seeds are engineered to express specific traits, such as resistance to pests, herbicides, or tolerance to environmental stressors. 3. Open-pollinated seeds: These seeds are produced through natural pollination and are genetically stable, meaning that the offspring will resemble the parent plant. They are often preferred by organic and traditional farmers for their ability to save seeds for future planting. 4. Heirloom seeds: These are open-pollinated varieties that have been passed down through generations for their unique flavors, colors, and adaptability to specific regions. The choice of seed depends on various factors including the farmer's objectives, available resources, and agricultural practices.

The calorific value of wood = 18000 The calorific value of any material is actually the amount of calories or energy generated when per Kg of that material is burnt. The calorific value of wood is given = 18000 KJ/kg which means 1kg of wood when burnt will give out 180000kj of energy. Now needed energy is 108000kj. Hence, the amount of wood that needs to be burnt will be = 108000/18000= 6 kg

Rods and cones are photoreceptors (light-sensitive cells) that are present all over the retina of the human eye. These are the cells which are responsible for converting light to electrical signals so that they can be transmitted to the brain by the optic nerve. whereas
