Cropland includes areas used for the production of adapted crops for harvest. Cultivated cropland comprises land in row crops or close-grown crops and also other cultivated cropland, for example, hay land or pastureland that is in a rotation with row or close-grown crops. A crop land ecosystem will have a major crop cultivated in a given area. A cropland ecosystem may be illustrated by crops like wheat, maize, rice, sugarcane etc.

Voltmeter is connected in parallel with circuit elements because it is used to measure the device's voltage. If it's connected in series then it will change the value of potential difference which will minimise the current in the circuit as it has very large resistance and you will get faulty readings. Voltmeter is always connected in parallel because it has high internal resistance. A voltmeter, in reality, only needs a very small amount of current to measure the potential difference between its ends, hence the need to have a very high internal resistance.

A person having the deficiency of growth hormone in childhood remains very short or becomes dwarf. A person having too much growth hormone becomes very tall or a giant. Pituitary gland is called the master gland of the body because it controls the functioning of other endocrine glands.
