The Red blood cells are also called erythrocytes. RBCs store the hemoglobin, which is a respiratory pigment that binds to oxygen or carbon dioxide molecules. This helps in the transportation of the oxygen to different tissues and organs of the human body. It also takes away the carbon-dioxide from these organs and tissues to be replenished in the lungs.

- Grains must be dried thoroughly otherwise there are chances of rottening.
- Grains need to be stored in room free of moisture.
- Tin-boxes should be preferred as they are mice-proof.
- In godowns, chemical used to prevent rats and insects must be used carefully in such as way that grains are not contaminated.
- Old gunny bags should be sun-dried.
- Storage places should be well-ventilated.
- During transportation of grains, gunny bags must be covered properly so that no wastage takes place.

Advantages : It helps us to walk , various parts of the machine are able to rotate due to the friction between the belt and the pulley , it would be impossible to climb, fix nail, to drive if there were no friction.

There are five major groups of microorganisms:
- Bacteria: They are single celled disease-causing microorganisms. They can be spiral or rod-shaped.
- Fungi: They are mostly multicellular disease-causing microbes. Bread moulds are common examples of fungi.
- Protozoa: They mainly include organisms such as Amoeba, Plasmodium, etc. They can be unicellular or multicellular.

(1) Sowing : Seeds are sown after preparation of the soil. Seeds can be sown manually or by seed drills by the process called broadcasting. Seeds should be sown at the correct depth and at correct distance.
(2) Weeding : The process of removing weeds from a field is called weeding. Weeding can be done manually by pulling the weeds out by hand or by using a harrow to uproot them. Weeding can also be done by spraying special chemicals called weedicides.
(3) Threshing: Threshing is the process of separating the grain from the cut crop. Threshing can be done manually by making oxen or buffaloes trample over the cut crop or by using a machine called thresher.
