Frictional force plays an important role in our life. In some cases it is useful whereas if it is harmful and we need to reduce it.
Advantages of friction:
- We are able to walk on ground because friction between the sole of our shoes and ground prevents us from slipping over the ground.
- Friction between tyres of a car and the road enables a car to move forward on road without skidding.
- The brakes of a car or a bicycle work by friction.
- We are able to write and make drawings on paper because there is friction between the tip of pencil and paper.
- We can hold a glass tumbler in our hands because of friction between the glass tumbler and our hands.
- We are able to fix nails in a wall due to friction.

In angiosperms, flower is the reproductive organ of the plant. Stamen, the male reproductive part of flower, is made up of anther and filament. Carpel is the female reproductive part and is composed of stigma, style and ovary.

Conducting take place due to the movement of the electrons. Most metals are good conductors of electricity because, When metal atoms combine with each other, the outermost electrons lose contact with their parent atoms. The remaining positively charged atomic centers form an ordered structure while the outer electrons move freely around the whole sample. These freely moving electrons, called conduction electrons, can carry heat energy and electric charge easily throughout the metal, making metals good conductors of heat and electricity .

a. A school bag has wide strap made of thick cloth so that the weight of the bag may fall over a large area of shoulder of the child producing less pressure on the shoulder due to which it is more comfortable to carry the heavy school bag.
b. The tip of a nail is sharp so that it may put the force on a very small area of wood, producing large pressure sufficient to go into the wood when it is hammered.
