Nitrogen cycle. : a continuous series of natural processes by which nitrogen passes successively from air to soil to organisms and back to air or soil involving principally nitrogen fixation, nitrification, decay, and denitrification.
Nitrogen fixation : Conversion of inert elemental nitrogen gas into biologically usable form is called nitrogen fixation.

A Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area of land which is created for the protection of wild animals in their natural environment like forests. It is a place where wild animals remain safe. In wildlife sanctuaries, poaching (killing) or capturing of wild animals is strictly prohibited. However, a national park is a relatively large area of scenic beauty protected and maintained by the government to preserve flora and fauna, landscape, historic objects of the area and the places of scientific interest. A National Park also serves the purpose the human recreation and enjoyment. The human activities such as mining, hunting and fishing, etc. are not allowed inside a National Park.

Microorganisms are harmful as they cause many diseases. There are many microbes which cause several diseases in plants, animals & human beings. Such disease-causing organisms are called Pathogens. We can also say that pathogens are diseases causing microorganisms. Pathogens include bacteria, viruses, fungi & protozoa.

Curd is formed when Lactobacillus bacteria rreproduce. If the curd is not transferred to a cool place, then curd turns sour because the bacteria continue to multiply and produce more lactic acid inside the milk. This lactic acid makes curd sour in taste.

1. Hand picking: This method is usually used to separate undesirable substances such as small pieces of stones from wheat, rice and pulses.
2. Threshing: The process in which stalks are beaten to separate grains from the stalks, and from the chaff that covers the grains is called threshing. This method of separation is based on the fact the stalks of the crop plants and the chaff are soft materials so can be broken into pieces and the grains are very hard so it remains unaffected.
3. Winnowing: The method of separating husk from grains with the help of wind is called winnowing. This method is based on the fact that the husk is very light and the grains are comparatively heavy.
4. Sieving: Sieving is used to separate those mixtures which have components of different sizes. In this process, the mixture having components of different sizes are put in a sieve and the sieve is moved back and forth continuously. The smaller particles pass through the holes of the sieve and collect in a vessel kept below. The bigger particles remain behind in the sieve.

Sowing is the process of planting seeds. In sowing, generally little soil is placed over the seeds.
Sowing can be Hand sowing or (planting) in which handfuls of seed are cast over prepared ground. However mostly seed are sown using seed drill. It offers greater precision; seed is sown evenly and at the desired rate. The drill also places the seed at a measured distance below the soil, so that less seed is required.
