The cell membrane is present in all living organisms, including plants. It is the outermost layer of the cell and encloses other cellular organelles within in. Unlike the cell wall, the cell membrane is flexible and its shape can be changed as needed. Also, it is metabolically active and has increased membrane permeability.
Unlike the cell wall, the cell membrane is present in all living organisms, including plants. The main role of the cell membrane is to provide protection to the cell from its surroundings. It is also more permeable than the cell wall and metabolically active.

If wheat is sown in the kharif season (from June to October), then the whole crop might get destroyed because of many factors such as lack of optimum temperature, adaptability, availability of pests, etc. Kharif season includes the rainy season, which is not favourable for the growth of wheat crop. Therefore, wheat crop should not be sown during this season.

The total charge on an atom is neutral. There are equal numbers of protons and electrons. If there are a different number of electrons than protons, this particle would be called an ion, and it would have a charge. An atom consists of a positively charged nucleus surrounded by one or more negatively charged particles called electrons. The number of protons found in the nucleus equals the number of electrons that surround it, giving the atom a neutral charge (neutrons have zero charge). Most of an atom’s mass is in its nucleus; the mass of an electron is only 1/1836 the mass of the lightest nucleus, that of hydrogen. Although the nucleus is heavy, it is small compared with the overall size of an atom.

The crops are of the following types depending upon the season in which they are grown:
Kharif Crops
-
The crops which are grown in the monsoon season in the month of June-September are known as Kharif crops. For eg., maize, millet, and cotton.
-
The seeds are sown at the beginning of monsoon season and harvested at the end of the monsoon season, usually in the month of October-November.
-
Such crops require a lot of water and hot weather for proper growth.
Rabi Crops
-
The name “Rabi” means “spring” – a word derived from Arabic.
-
The crops that are grown in the winter season and harvested in the spring, i.e., from the month of October to March are called Rabi crops.
-
Wheat, gram, and mustard are some of the Rabi crops.
Zaid Crops
-
Such crops are grown between the Kharif and Rabi seasons, i.e., between March and June.
-
These crops mature early.
-
Cucumber, pumpkin, bitter gourd, and watermelon are zaid crops.
