Let the three consecutive multiples of 8 is 8n , 8n+ 8 , 8n + 16
8n + 8n + 8 + 8n + 16 = 888
24n + 24 = 888
24(n+1) = 888
n+ 1 = 37
n = 36
8n = 288
8n+8 = 296
8n+16 = 304

Let the multiples be x+8, x+16 and x+24
According to Question:
x+8 + x+16 + x+24 = 888
3x + 48 = 888
3x = 888-48
3x = 840
x = 840/3
x = 280
x+8 = 280+8 → 288
x+16 = 280+16 → 296
x+24 = 280+24 → 304

(5x - 7)/ (x +1) = 2
5x - 7 = 2(x + 1)
5x - 7 = 2x + 2
5x - 2x = 2 + 7
3x = 9
x = 9/3 = 3

Area of square=side×side=5625 m^2
side=square root 5625
side=75 m
when we cut the square in the form of two triangle,we get
1/2×h×b + 1/2×h×b=5625 m^2
we put pythogoes thermos
because square all angle is 90°
we have,
p=75 m
b=75 m
h= we find hypothesis
we putting the formula
h^2= p^2 + b^2
h^2= (75)^2 + (75)^2
h^2= 5625 + 5625
h^2= 11250
h= square root 11250
h= 106.066
the length of the diagonal of the square is 106.066 m.

Let the rational number be {tex}\frac{x}{{x + 8}}{/tex}
According to the question,
{tex}\frac{{x + 7}}{{x + 8 - 1}} = \frac{3}{2}{/tex}
∴ {tex}\frac{{x + 17}}{{x + 7}} = \frac{3}{2}{/tex}
∴ {tex}\frac{{x + 17}}{{x + 7}} \times (x + 7) = \frac{3}{2} \times (x + 7){/tex} . . . . [ Multiplying both sides x + 7, ]
∴ {tex}x + 17 = \frac{{3(x + 7)}}{2}{/tex}
2(x + 17) = 3(x + 7) . . . . [ Multiplying both sides 2 ]
∴ 2x + 34 = 3x + 21
∴ 34 – 21 = 3x – 2x . . . . [ Transposing 21 to L.H.S. and 2x to R.H.S. ]
∴ 13 = x
∴ x = 13
∴ x + 8 = 13 + 8 = 21 hence, the rational number {tex}\frac{{13}}{{21}},{/tex}
Verification
21 = 13 + 8
{tex}\frac{{13 + 7}}{{21 - 1}} = \frac{{30}}{{20}} = \frac{{30 \div 10}}{{20 \div 10}} = \frac{3}{2}{/tex} hence, the result is verified.

Let take √5 as a rational number
If a and b are two co-prime number and b is not equal to 0.
We can write √5 = a/b
Multiply by b both side we get
b√5 = a
To remove root, Squaring on both sides, we get
5b2 = a2 ……………(1)
Therefore, 5 divides a2 and according to a theorem of rational number, for any prime number p which is divided 'a2' then it will divide 'a' also.
That means 5 will divide 'a'. So we can write
a = 5c
and putting the value of a in equation (1) we get
5b2 = (5c)2
5b2 = 25c2
Divide by 25 we get
b2/5 = c2
again using the same theorem we get that b will divide by 5
and we have already get that a is divided by 5
but a and b are co-prime number. so it is contradicting.
Hence √5 is an irrational number

We know that 961 < 1000 < 1024
and {tex}\sqrt {961} {/tex} = 31 and {tex}\sqrt {1024} {/tex} = 32
So, 31 < {tex}\sqrt {1000} {/tex} < 32
But 1024 is much closer to 1000 than 961.
So, {tex}\sqrt {1000} {/tex} ∼ 32
