Let the number be x. Then,
{tex}{( - 15)^{ - 1}} \div x = {( - 5)^{ - 1}}{/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow \frac{{{{( - 15)}^{ - 1}}}}{x} = {( - 5)^{ - 1}}{/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow x = \frac{{{{( - 15)}^{ - 1}}}}{{{{\left( { - 5} \right)}^{ - 1}}}} = {( - 15)^{ - 1}} \div {( - 5)^{ - 1}}{/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow x = \frac{1}{{( - 15)}} \div \frac{1}{{( - 5)}}{/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow x = \frac{1}{{( - 15)}} \times \frac{{( - 5)}}{1} = \frac{{ - 5}}{{ - 15}} = \frac{5}{{15}} = \frac{1}{3}{/tex}
Hence, the required number is (3)-1.

The cube of a number is that number raised to a power of 3. In other words when we multiply a number by itself 3 times we get the cube of the number. For example 3 * 3 * 3 = 27
The cube root of a number x is the the value which when multiplied by itself 3 times gives the number x. In the above example 3 is the cube root of 27.
