External dimensions
= 40cm × 34 cm × 30cm

thickness = 1cm
length = 40 - (1+1) =38cm
breadth = 34 - (1+1) = 32cm
height = 30 - ( 1+ 1 ) = 28cm

Outer volume = 40cm × 34 cm × 30cm
= 40800cm³

Inner volume = 38cm × 32cm × 28cm
= 34048cm³

Volume of wood
= Volume of external portion - Volume of internal portion

= 40800cm³ - 34048cm³

= 6752cm³

Hence, the volume is 6752cm³

Let P(x, y) be equidistant from the points A(7, 1) and B(3, 5).

Given, AP = BP

AP2 = BP2

By distance formula,

(x - 7)2 + (y - 1)2 = (x - 3)2 + (y - 5)2

x2 + 49 - 14x + y2 + 1 - 2y = x2 + 9 - 6x + y2 + 25 - 10y

-7x + 25 - y = -3x + 17 - 5y

-4x + 8 + 4y = 0

x - y = 2

Given, P = 10,800 Rs. T = 3 years and R = 12 1/2 % = 25/2 % per annum compounded annually

Using formula,

or,

or,

or,

or,

or, A = 10800 × 9 × 9 × 9/(8 × 8 × 8)

= 15,377.3438 Rs.

now, compound interest = A - P

= 15,377.3438 - 10,800

= 4,577.3438 Rs.
