cost of coffee=250 per kg. cost of chicory =75 per kg coffee: chicory 5:2 if the weight of mixture is 1 kg. 75x+2x=1 ⇒7x=7 ⇒x=1 ∴ weight of coffee = 75x=75 kg weight of chicory = 72x=72 kg cost of 75 kg coffee = 75×250=71250 cost of 72 kg chicory = 72×75=7150 total cost of 1 kg mixture = 71250+7150 cost price of 1 kg mixture = 71400=200 Rs selling of 1 kg minute = 230 Rs gain or loss = CPSP−CP×100=200230−200×100 = 230=15% since its positive, the mixture was sold at a gain of 15%.

Answer: In this question the we have to find the original salary after there is increment of 10% in the salary. There will be 3 half years in 1 1/2 years.
