The Ahoms were important tribe, predominant in Vedic India. They lived in Myanmar and migrated to the Brahmaputra valley in the early 13th century. The Ahoms did not possess their own kingdoms, but created their state by suppressing the older political system of the landlords, known as Bhuiyans.

Three parts of a South Indian temple are:
1)Shikhara
2)Mandapa
3)Garbhagriha
Shikhara-The topmost part of the temple is known as the Shikhara.It is mostly seen in Chola Temples.
Garbhagriha-The area in which the image or statue of the Chief Deity is kept is called the Garbhagriha.

Budding is one type of asexual reproduction which involves single parent in giving rise to offspring. Budding can be observed in yeast.
This is a form of asexual reproduction which involves development of small mass of cells as protuberances on the parental body to give rise to new structures called as buds. These buds separate out from the parental body and develop into new individuals. Two types of budding are external budding and internal budding.

'Lost wax' technique was used to make Chola bronze statues. This technique involved several stages : First of all an image was made of wax. This was covered with clay and left in sun to dry.

- There are seven pillar edicts.
- Two types of stones are used: spotted white sandstone (from Mathura) and buff coloured sandstone and quartzite (from Amaravati).
- All the pillars are monoliths (carved out of from stone).
- They have been found from different places like Kandahar (Afghanistan), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan), Delhi, Vaishali and Champaran (Bihar), Sarnath and Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), and Sanchi (Madhya Pradesh).
- Fragments of the same edict are found in different places.
- Many pillars are as high as 50 feet high and weigh as much as 50 tons.
- The pillars depict animals such as elephants and lions, and wheels and lotuses which are all significant symbols in Buddhism.

A tarikh (singular)/tawarikh (plural) are ‘histories’ which are valuable sources of information. These were written in Persian, the language of administration under the Delhi Sultans. The authors of tawarikh were learned men (secretaries, administrators, poets and courtiers) who both recounted events and advised rulers on governance, emphasising the importance of just rule.

3. Offers: Usually in weekly markets buyers have wide range of offers like buy one get one free, combo packs etc.
