Now, let us assume total part of cake be 1. Then, from the questions, given that Rani ate 2/7 part of a cake = 1 – (2/7) = (7 – 2)/7 = 5/7 So, Ravi ate 4/5 of the remaining cake = (4/5) × (5/7) = 4/7 Therefore, the part of the cake left = (5/7) – (4/7) = 1/7Read more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/786899/rani-ate-part-of-a-cake-while-her-brother-ravi-ate-4-5-of-the-remaining-part-of-the-cake-left-is

3y-2=2y-1-3 First of all we will separate our variable and numbers +2y will come to left and become negative and -2 will come to right and become positive 3y-2y=+2-1-3 Now let's solve the right hand side 3y-2y=+2-1-3 negative 1 and negative 3 minus minus is equal to plus so the answer would be 4 and sign of negative and the positive 2 and negative 4 plus minus is minus so the answer would be 2 and sign of greater i.e negative 3y-2y=-2 Now solving the left hand side let's combine 3 and 2 from 3y and 2y as they both have same variable so 3-2 is 1 so 1y or you can also write only y y =-2 Hence the solution is with us Hope this answer helps Deepak
